Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about La Cour des Rois? The name sounds way fancier than what you actually get – and honestly, that’s not a bad thing. This little 3-star spot sits on Route des Romains, which means you’re technically outside Strasbourg’s tourist chaos but still close enough that you can bike into the old town in about fifteen minutes. I mean, the 67200 postal code puts you in the northern part of the city, and while it’s not exactly picturesque, there’s something refreshingly normal about the neighborhood. You’ve got a Carrefour nearby for actual groceries (thank god), and the tram line isn’t too far if you don’t feel like walking everywhere.
The hotel itself has this sort of… well, it’s trying to be boutique-ish but in that unpretentious French way where they’re not going overboard with the theming. The “court of kings” thing shows up in some of the decor – nothing too dramatic, just enough to remind you where you are. What I actually appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to those places right in Petite France where you’re dealing with restaurant noise until midnight. The rooms are solid for what you’re paying – clean, decent-sized bathrooms, and the beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff). The 7.9 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that does the basics really well without trying to blow your mind. Check-in was smooth, the staff spoke English when my French got wobbly, and they had good recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re getting a genuine slice of how Strasbourg actually works as a city, not just the postcard version. The morning walk to grab coffee and pastries feels authentically local, and you’ll probably find yourself chatting with actual residents instead of just other tourists. Is it going to Instagram like those canal-side boutique hotels? Probably not. But if you want somewhere comfortable and honest where you can actually relax after spending your days wandering through the cathedral district and stuffing yourself with choucroute, this works really well. Plus, and this matters more than people admit, the parking situation is way less stressful than trying to navigate a car through the old town’s medieval street maze.

Logement très bien situé et desservi par les transports en communs proche du centre-ville.
