Hotel Beaucour Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Beaucour feels like discovering one of those perfectly kept secrets that locals don’t really want tourists to find out about. This four-star gem sits right on rue des Bouchers — and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better address in Strasbourg. The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm, but inside it’s been updated with just the right touch of modern comfort without losing its character.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, when couples rate the location 9.8 out of 10, you know something special is happening here. You’re literally steps away from the cathedral (I could hear the bells from my room — not loud enough to wake you, just enough to remind you where you are), and the Petite France district is an easy stroll along the canals. What I really loved was how you can duck into traditional winstubs for dinner or grab morning pastries from the boulangerie right around the corner. The Christmas markets, when they’re running, are practically at your doorstep.
The Room Experience
The rooms here strike that perfect balance between cozy and functional — not too cramped, not unnecessarily spacious. Mine had these lovely wooden beams that reminded me I was staying in a building with real history, plus modern touches like excellent Wi-Fi and a surprisingly good shower. The windows actually open (you’d be amazed how rare that’s becoming), and if you’re lucky enough to get a street-facing room, you’ll have a front-row seat to the daily rhythm of this beautiful old city.
Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast here is actually worth getting up for — they do a proper continental spread with local touches that make it feel authentically Alsatian rather than generic hotel fare. The buffet setup works well, and they’ve got gluten-free options if you need them. If you’re always rushing out in the morning, they’ll even pack you a breakfast to go, which saved me more than once when I had early train connections. The restaurant scene right outside your door is incredible though — you’ll want to explore the neighborhood for dinner.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Hotel Beaucour apart is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful. You’re in the thick of everything that makes Strasbourg special, but when you close your door at night, it’s quiet enough to actually rest. The staff clearly knows the city well — they gave me directions to places I never would have found on my own. Parking can be tricky in this part of town (it’s old Europe, after all), but they’ll point you toward the best nearby options. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in the real Strasbourg, not some tourist bubble version of it.

What could be improved: The only things I think that needs some improvement is the variety of food available at breakfast.Excellent little hotel – comfortable, central and friendly team – Leah from United Kingdom – 6 July 2025 (9/10)

Fantastic hotel. One can truly feel at home here.
Beautiful room and facilities, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We loved having free access to coffee and cold water, it especially made a huge difference during the heatwave. The air conditioning is good, reliable. The room is very comfortable, beautifully done with great attention to details – handmade soap and lotions, little kits to meet the needs of any visitor.
It was an absolute delight, best hotel stay imaginable!
What could be improved: Nothing. It was just perfect all around 🙂Exceptional – Lucie from Czech Republic – 3 July 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: NothingPerfect situation – central and right across from Austerlitz parking, views on cathedral – Viviane from Switzerland – 30 June 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful view on the cathedral- very central, parking right across, welcomed air con, comfortable, complimentary water
What could be improved: The bathroom had quite a few touch ups needed – one clogged sink, one leaking and a bit of a moldy bathroom but honestly, details compared to the situation and overall cleanelinessWhen we return to strassbourg, I would return to thiss place, super friendly and perfect location. – Jaap from Luxembourg – 23 June 2025 (8/10)
we visited at the time of the music festival and despite this, it was perfectly bearable. beofre the festival the room was very quiet despite a lively area. very good.
The Stafff were excellent friendly and professional. Highly commendable.
The offer an extensive breakfast in additionto a small option. nice to havethat choise!
The courtyard is a great place to have it! Parking opposite entrance and location perfect as everything withing a short walk away.
What could be improved: I would have gone for the small breakfast option, 3 croissants/pain au chocolat, a freshly pressed orange juise and a coffee super value. (the large breakfast option also looked good, it was justs too hot to eat much. Opted to go to a caffee nearby however as teh fully automatic coffee machine did not inspire me. For most, I am sure it would have been fine.
