Honestly, when I first pulled up to Strasbourg Jules Verne, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior — it’s tucked away on a quiet residential street in the Neudorf district. But you know what? This four-star property has that understated French charm that grows on you, and the fact that there’s actually parking right on-site is already a win in my book. Most hotels in Strasbourg will have you circling blocks looking for a spot.

The Neighborhood

I’ll be honest — Neudorf isn’t the postcard-pretty Petite France area that everyone raves about, but that’s actually part of its appeal. You’re staying where real Strasbourgeois live, which means authentic bakeries on the corner and none of the tourist crowds. The tram stop is literally a two-minute walk away, and from there it’s maybe ten minutes to the cathedral and all the main sights. I mean, you get the best of both worlds — easy access to everything but you can actually get some peace when you come back.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for a European hotel — you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The design leans modern without being sterile, and the bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses). What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom that actually has counter space. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag.

Dining and Amenities

The breakfast spread at their restaurant is pretty impressive — fresh pastries that taste like they came from the boulangerie down the street, local cheeses, and proper coffee. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast most mornings, which isn’t usually my style. The staff here seems to genuinely care about what they’re doing, not just going through the motions. There’s also a small fitness area if you need to work off all those Alsatian tarte flambées you’ll inevitably eat.

Look, this isn’t a flashy hotel that’s going to wow you with marble lobbies or rooftop pools.   Situation géographique

• Prima Unterkunft für einen kurzen Aufenthalt – Cornelia from Germany – 15 December 2024 (8/10)

  Lage war für uns top, kurzer Weg mit ÖPNV in die Innenstadt.
  Die Vermieter waren sehr entgegenkommend und spontan bereit, den Schlüssel zu bringen, da wir früher als geplant angereist sind. Supernetter Kontakt trotz teilweiser Sprachbarriere 😉
  Wir sind sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

• Gemütliches & sauberes Apartment nähe dem Zentrum – Désirée from Switzerland – 8 December 2024 (8/10)

  Sehr gemütlich & sauber. Es hatte alles was mach braucht. Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft klappte sehr gut, sie waren sehr verständnisvoll bei unserer unerwarteten Verspätung. Mit dem Uber ist man schnell im Zentrum.
  
  What could be improved: Die Parkmöglichkeiten waren an der Strasse leider schon besetzt, es sind öffentliche Parkplätze. Wir mussten in der Umgebung weiter suchen. Leider mussten wir ca. 35 Min. vor der Unterkunft auf die Schlüssel warten, haben jedoch frühzeitig Bescheid gegeben wann wir ankommen. Unklar ob es mit dem Weihnachtsessen der Gastgeber zusammenhing & da wir auch verspätet angekommen sind.
