Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first turned onto Rue de la Mésange – it’s this quiet little street that most tourists walk right past on their way to the cathedral. But that’s actually what makes Bleu Mésange so perfect. You’re tucked away from all the chaos of Grande Île, but you can still walk to Petite France in maybe ten minutes, fifteen if you stop for photos (which you will).

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home, not some sterile hotel setup. I mean, there are two proper bedrooms and bathrooms, which is rare for Strasbourg – most places cram you into these tiny spaces. The kitchen actually has real coffee cups, not those paper-thin hotel ones that burn your fingers. You know what I loved? The windows. They’re these old French ones that open wide, and in the morning you get this amazing light filtering through. Fair warning though – if you’re here during summer, it can get warm upstairs since there’s no AC, but honestly, opening the windows at night with that cross-breeze from the courtyard works just fine.

The neighborhood is what really sold me on this place. There’s this little boulangerie maybe two blocks down – I think it’s on Rue du Jeu des Enfants – where the locals actually go. Not the touristy one everyone writes about, but the one where the baker knows your order by day three. And here’s something nobody tells you about Strasbourg: parking is absolutely brutal near the center, but this street? You can actually find spots, especially if you’re willing to walk a block or two. The tram stop at Homme de Fer is close enough that you don’t need a car anyway, but it’s nice having the option. I stayed here during late September, and the whole area felt like this perfect balance – busy enough that restaurants stayed open late, but quiet enough that I could sleep with the windows cracked. The only real downside is that check-in can be a bit of a process since it’s not a traditional hotel front desk situation, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you forget all about that stuff. This place just works, you know?

  Close to everything! Old town, groceries, train station, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Martin was very helpful when we arrived. Would definitely go back!

  Great location. Very nice apartment. Plenty of space to relax. The lounge area is ideal with comfortable sofas. Complete blackout blinds enable a great night's sleep. Helpful suggestions from the hosts on places to eat.

  Everything!! Martin was so helpful and quick to respond to every question. The location was amazing and so close to everything. The furniture was comfortable and plenty of options, it was only 2 of us but could easily accommodate a larger group. I will definitely book this place again!

  The apartment was very comfortable and the heating was good for the middle of winter. Very close to town and the tram line was very close. Quiet with no street noise which was amazing given the position. The staff were very efficient.
  
  What could be improved: The heater in the blue bathroom could not be adjusted and was right beside the toilet. You had to be careful!

  What could be improved: Parking nearby was challenging during the Christmas Markets. My wife is disabled and although there is a lift we still needed to negotiate 2 sets of about 8 stairs. The unit doesn’t suit people in wheelchairs or electric scooters.

  The apartment was immaculate ,in a perfect location with wonderful facilities including two complete bathrooms. It was spacious and had everything we needed and more both in the apartment and in the surrounding area. Martin was waiting with the keys when arrived.

  The apartment was everything our family of 4 needed; very spacious with separate bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, full kitchen, and a balcony with a corner view of the streets to take in the culture of Strasbourg…a home away from home. The property was centrally located with shops and restaurants close by (easy walking distance).
  More importantly, our host, Martin, was excellent. He sent us the locations of parking garages within walking distance of the property prior to arrival. Once we arrived, Martin greeted us at the property and gave us a tour of the property. He sent recommendations of restaurants and attractions to check out.

  Centrally located. Martin was prompt in meeting us on arrival and departure, plus extremely helpful with suggestions and guidance. Balconies were GREAT. Kitchen fine. Washer/dryer nice to have. The separate rooms give it a very comfortable feel.
  
  What could be improved: Only comment less than exceptional would be it is right on the tram line so not exactly church-quiet, but we got used to it quickly (stayed four nights) and enjoyed the atmosphere.
