Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to ZEHNITH Strasbourg tramway on Avenue François Mitterrand, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building itself is pretty modern and clean-lined, nothing too fancy, but there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try to oversell itself. What really got my attention though was how perfectly positioned it is – I mean, you’re literally steps from the tram line (hence the name, obviously), and honestly, that makes all the difference in Strasbourg. You can hop on and be in the heart of Petite France in like fifteen minutes, or catch a quick ride to the cathedral without dealing with the nightmare of driving through those narrow medieval streets.
The inside actually feels more upscale than you’d expect from the star rating – they’ve clearly put some thought into the design without going overboard. My room was compact but smartly laid out, and I appreciated little touches like decent lighting (you’d be amazed how many hotels mess this up) and a bathroom that didn’t feel like an afterthought. Now, if you’re the type who needs a massive suite, this probably isn’t your place, but for someone who’s actually planning to explore the city rather than camp out in their room, it’s perfect. The beds are comfortable – I’m talking genuinely good sleep, not just “acceptable for one night” – and the soundproofing is surprisingly solid considering you’re right on a main avenue. I was worried about traffic noise, but honestly, I barely noticed it.
What really sold me on this place though is how it just… works. You know those hotels where everything feels like a small hassle? This isn’t one of them. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give decent restaurant recommendations (they steered me toward this fantastic winstub on Rue du Maroquin that I never would’ve found otherwise), and the whole vibe is just effortlessly functional. Plus, and this is huge if you’re driving, parking isn’t the usual Strasbourg nightmare – they’ve got spots available, which in this part of the city is basically a miracle. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because it’s one of those places that consistently delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. It’s not trying to be the Grand Hotel or some boutique showpiece, but if you want a solid base for exploring Strasbourg that won’t eat your entire travel budget, this is exactly what you’re looking for. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during Christmas market season when finding decent, reasonably-priced accommodation near good transport links becomes nearly impossible.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Strasbourg at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak December season when the city hosts its world-famous Christmas celebrations.

Exceptional – Ravishankar from India – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
nice location. good amenities in the apartment. owner was helpful
What could be improved: Room heater did not work but we got a portable heater next day.The good price comes with a compromise – Gergana from Belgium – 22 April 2025 (6/10)
Self check in process was easy. The apartment was close to the tram station Potterie, so it was easy to go to the city centre.
What could be improved: Practically we were in an apartment which was different from the pictures we saw on Booking.com when we booked. Also, contrarily to what it says there is no a private parking place, you park on the street where there is free place, good that we found one right next to the apartment. In the kitchen I had to clean all the dishes, there were dishes in the cupboard which were definitely not clean. The fridge was small. While we were 3 guests for 2 nights, there were only 2 coffee capsules. There was no a table with chairs to have a dinner or a breakfast on it, there were only high bar chairs to use and this was not very comfortable for us as we have a certain age. But what was even more disturbing was the super strong cigarettes smell everywhere in this apartment to an extent that I preferred keeping the jackets in the car as not to get smelly. And the big white leather sofa in the living room is really beyond its time of use, it's uncomfortable to seat on it.Super séjour – Camille from France – 13 June 2025 (9/10)
Super appartement, grand et confortable. Bien équipé, avec un balcon. Nous avons passé un super séjour.
Je recommande ++
What could be improved: Pas de place de parking comme indiqué dans l'annonce. Possible dans trouvé une dans la rue, mais il faut avoir de la chance. On s'est garé dans des rues plus loin, mais pas simple quand on est chargé au niveau bagage.Exceptional – Sebastien from France – 24 May 2025 (10/10)
Contact téléphonique du propriétaire très agréable et disponible.
Personne qui nous a accueilli très professionnelle.
L'appartement était plus propre et spacieux pour 2 .À recommander+++Gut, bequem, modern – Monika from Switzerland – 18 July 2025 (8/10)
Very good – Katharina from Germany – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
Die Ausstattung war gut und die Lage
