Suite Place de l’Etoile Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Suite Place de l’Etoile, I’ll be honest — the location on Route du Polygone caught me off guard. You’re not in the heart of old Strasbourg here, but that’s actually part of what makes this four-star property work so well. The building has this sleek, contemporary feel that immediately signals you’re somewhere that takes hospitality seriously. What really got my attention though was how effortless everything felt from the moment I arrived — there’s something to be said for a place that just gets the basics right.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re positioned perfectly between Strasbourg’s business district and the historic center, which means you get the best of both worlds without the tourist crowds right outside your door. The Polygone area is honestly underrated; it’s got this modern energy during the day but quiets down beautifully in the evenings. You can walk to the European Parliament if that’s your thing, or hop on public transport to reach Petite France in about fifteen minutes. Plus, and this matters more than you might think, there are actual locals around here going about their daily lives.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was genuinely spacious — not just hotel-brochure spacious, but actually comfortable to spend time in. The design leans contemporary without being cold, and honestly, the bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed. What impressed me most was the attention to lighting; they’ve got it figured out so you’re not fumbling around in harsh overhead glare or romantic dimness when you’re trying to read. The bathroom felt properly modern, with a shower that actually had decent water pressure — you know how hit-or-miss that can be.
Practical Perks
Let me tell you about the parking situation, because if you’re driving in Strasbourg, this is huge. Free private parking on-site — I mean, that alone probably saves you twenty euros a day and eliminates the stress of circling blocks looking for a spot. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and they knew the area well enough to give actual recommendations rather than just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots. There’s also this relaxed efficiency about how they handle check-in and any requests you might have.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes Suite Place de l’Etoile work is how it balances being polished with being genuinely comfortable. Couples particularly seem to appreciate the space and the fact that you can have a proper romantic evening without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl surrounded by tour groups. The location gives you options — you can explore Strasbourg properly during the day, then come back to somewhere that feels like a retreat rather than just another stop on the tourist trail. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to getting back to your room at the end of the day.
Strasbourg hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Petite France district to elegant converted mansions and modern accommodations near the European Parliament.

Reviews of Suite Place de l’Etoile
Disappointing – Birgit from Germany – 24 July 2025 (4/10)
What could be improved: siehe oben. Superb – Andrian from Estonia – 11 July 2025 (9/10)
Exceptional – Anonymous from Spain – 22 June 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: RASSuper value for money in Strasbourg ! – Jean from France – 1 June 2025 (10/10)
Very friendly welcome by the owner, who spares no time to give you all information you might require. Everything met my expectations and above : location, comfort – a real feeling of home. Warmly recommended – shall surely come back !
What could be improved: NothingNot as advertised and should not be listed on this site. – Richard from United Kingdom – 27 August 2024 (2/10)
View (if you like overlooking a graveyard from the bedroom) the view in the photo is from the living room balcony which appeared to be out of bounds..
What could be improved: The host was a hysterical control freak who was obviously letting out their own home and insisted that we arrived at a specific time (even though we made it very clear that we were a family with a 4yr old travelling up from Italy so would be difficult to be precise with time) and bombarded us with calls and messages (including making hysterical calls while we were parking and trying to find the property which is difficult as there are two number 13s, one on each side of the street) in the days before the stay and was waiting at the property when we got there, which made things awkward as they clearly were waiting for us to turn up before then going out. We stay regularly in apartments like this across Europe but were made to feel very uncomfortable while there as we obviously were sleeping in their bed. This is a well appointed apartment but the two bedrooms we were allowed in were up a steep spiral staircase in the loft (not suitable for small children) and obviously their own bedrooms. It was made very clear that the kitchen and living room were out of bounds (half eaten meal left in kitchen/on cooker and a large framed picture left on the sofa??) Overall this is a nice apartment and home for the owners but really not a suitable place to stay or be advertised on booking.com
