AC Hotel by Marriott Strasbourg Overview
First Impressions
Walking into AC Hotel by Marriott Strasbourg, you immediately notice the sleek, minimalist design that AC Hotels are known for — and honestly, it works perfectly in this setting. The lobby feels contemporary without being cold, with clean lines and that distinctly European sense of understated elegance. What struck me most was how the hotel manages to feel both international and authentically Alsatian at the same time, which isn’t easy to pull off. The attention to detail throughout the public spaces reflects the brand’s commitment to modern hospitality.
Location & Neighborhood
The location on Boulevard de Dresde is actually brilliant — you’re close enough to Strasbourg‘s historic center to walk there easily, but far enough from the tourist crowds to get a real feel for how locals live. I mean, you can reach the cathedral and Petite France in about 15 minutes on foot, but you’re also surrounded by authentic brasseries and shops that aren’t just tourist traps. The tram stops nearby, which makes getting around the city incredibly easy, and there’s decent parking if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re here). The neighborhood offers an excellent balance of accessibility and authentic local character.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a four-star AC Hotel — modern, functional, and surprisingly comfortable. The beds are excellent, and the bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in European hotels). What I really appreciated was the attention to detail — proper outlets where you need them, blackout curtains that actually work, and air conditioning that keeps things comfortable even during those warm Alsatian summers. Every element has been thoughtfully planned for guest convenience.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast here is actually impressive — they’ve got this extensive buffet that covers everything from continental classics to American options, plus solid vegetarian and vegan choices. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the local pastries and the fact that they accommodate gluten-free diets without making it feel like an afterthought. There’s no full restaurant on-site, but honestly, with Strasbourg’s incredible dining scene right outside your door, that’s not really a problem. The morning meal sets a positive tone for exploring the city.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place special is how it strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. Couples seem to particularly love it here — and I can see why, since the combination of a great location, comfortable accommodations, and easy access to Strasbourg’s romantic old town creates the perfect setup for a city break. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward hidden gems that most tourists miss, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to experience a city authentically rather than just checking boxes on a sightseeing list. This hotel truly enhances your overall travel experience.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Strasbourg through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich Franco-German heritage.

Lovely hotel, everything is so comfortable and brand new
What could be improved: The location is great for EU parliament but too far if you're planning on touring the city on foot, it is 40 minutes walk. There is a tram however which is very useful to get to the city centre.A wonderful stay in Strasbourg – Elena from France – 14 July 2025 (10/10)
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel during our visit to Strasbourg. The design is modern and elegant, with clean, comfortable rooms that made us feel right at home. The bed was super cozy, and everything was spotless and quiet.
Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The location is ideal – close to public transport and just a short walk to European Parlament.
It was the perfect base for exploring Strasbourg, and we’d happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Really clean and modern
What could be improved: Breakfast restaurant is a little bit crowded.Nice – Roondhe from Italy – 13 July 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Everything was good. Just a little suggestion regarding the complementary water bottles. I would suggest staff should place the complementary water bottle everyday while cleaning as at night if you need water no one will be there to provide it. Otherwise its all good.
