Hotel Description

You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first walked up to this place on Rue du 22 Novembre – the street name alone made me wonder if I’d need a GPS just to tell people where I was staying. But here’s the thing about Strasbourg: those seemingly complicated street names actually tell stories, and this one commemorates the date the city was liberated in 1944. The building itself sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the cathedral bells (trust me, you’ll love this at 8 AM) but far enough from the main tourist crush that you can actually breathe.

What struck me immediately was how the apartment setup just makes sense here. I mean, Strasbourg isn’t really a city where you want to be stuck in some generic hotel room ordering overpriced room service – you want to grab fresh bread from the boulangerie around the corner and maybe some Munster cheese from the market. The kitchen actually has proper knives and decent pots, which honestly surprised me after staying in places where they give you a butter knife and call it “fully equipped.” The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be fancy in that stuffy way, but everything works properly and the place feels genuinely comfortable rather than just Instagram-worthy.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re basically a ten-minute walk from Petite France (yeah, the ridiculously photogenic part with all the canals), but you’re also close enough to the European Quarter that you could walk there if you needed to – not that most tourists care about that, but it gives you a sense of how central this spot really is. What I didn’t expect was how quiet it gets at night. Strasbourg has this funny rhythm where it feels lively during the day but settles into this almost village-like calm after dinner. The 8.3 rating makes total sense when you factor in that you’re getting apartment-style space and freedom without sacrificing the reliability you want when you’re navigating a new city. Plus – and this might sound small but it matters when you’re hauling luggage – the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “we’ll text you seventeen codes” nonsense that some places put you through.

Reviews

  • Great location – Al from Saudi Arabia – 25 July 2025 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: Air conditioning/ the floor was wooden floor and noisy

  • Superb – Benik from Israel – 19 July 2025 (9/10)

The apartment is located right in the city center, which made it very convenient for getting around. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the apartment was well-equipped with all the essentials. A great place to stay!

What could be improved: The apartment was overall very nice and comfortable, but we did notice that some essential supplies were limited. There were only a few coffee capsules and just one capsule each for the dishwasher and washing machine, which wasn’t enough for our stay.

  • great value for money in wonderful location 🙂 – Jakub from Slovakia – 4 July 2025 (8/10)

Everything was really excellent, the apartment is suitable for groups, in great location with appropriate facilities, 2 bathrooms are a great plus 🙂

What could be improved: When there is a group of more than 4 people, everyone above will have to sleep in the living room – it is not bad, but the people sleeping there do not really get that much privacy..

  • Very good – Katerina from Belgium – 25 June 2025 (8/10)

Beautiful view from the 6th floor, clean, spacious, very important: it had AC in both rooms!

What could be improved: The sofa bed wasn't prepared and we needed to prepare it ourselves and we also had to take out the trash ourselves and tidy up before we left the house.

  • Perfect for our family of 5! – Samantha from Australia – 26 January 2025 (8/10)

Location! Great vibes being right in the heart of town. We loved sitting at window seat, enjoying people-watching in the mall below. Perfect location to visit Christmas Markets just around the corner. Everything we needed in kitchen. Host met me in foyer and helped me enter the property. Grandma was happy that there was a lift. So much to see and do from this awesome base. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a Pornstar Martini from the Leo Bar around the corner! I wish we’d stayed longer so I could see more of the historical sites in Strasbourg and surrounds. The apartment was lovely and warm in the peak of winter. Clean linen, comfy beds.

What could be improved: The decor is dated, but the apartment had everything we needed. We did have to google how to work the washing machine/dryer. Got it going and it was a huge help, mid- holiday! Shower/bath screen could do with fixing. But the shower was lovely and hot so happy to overlook this minor thing! We had a hire car and found parking expensive in Strasbourg. Better to just travel by public transport in this city.

  • Perfect for our family over Christmas – Carrie from United States – 26 December 2024 (9/10)

    Great location, comfortable apartment

What could be improved: Parking was remote—easier if you don’t have a car to deal with

  • Superb – Isabelle from Canada – 5 August 2024 (9/10)

    Nice appartment very well located

  • Perfect for a city trip – Sebastian from Austria – 3 June 2024 (9/10)

Very central and yet quiet place. Spatious and clean.

What could be improved: The floor is kind of noisy. Only one key for the group.

  • Nice apartment in attic with lift access – Cynthia from Australia – 10 March 2024 (9/10)

Lovely clean apartment with everything you could want.
Close to everything. Great location. Walking distance from train.

What could be improved: Water pressure in shower low.
    16.00 checkin a bit late

  • Great location. Clean and spacious apartment. – Gracia from Singapore – 31 December 2023 (9/10)

The location was fantastic. The place was spacious and clean.

What could be improved: Had to clear your rubbish.
