Robertsau, jardin en ville Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Robertsau, jardin en ville feels more like being welcomed into someone’s thoughtfully curated home than checking into a typical hotel. This four-star gem sits quietly in Strasbourg’s Robertsau district, and honestly, the name says it all — you really do get that “garden in the city” feeling the moment you arrive. The ground-floor entrance on Route de la Wantzenau might seem unassuming from the street, but step inside and you’ll understand why this place consistently earns such high ratings from guests.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re in Robertsau, which locals know as one of Strasbourg’s most peaceful residential areas, yet you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. The Wantzenau road connects you easily to the city center, but you get to retreat to this quiet pocket where couples especially seem to find their groove. I mean, there’s something about being surrounded by actual neighborhood life rather than tourist chaos that just works. You’ll find yourself walking tree-lined streets where real Strasbourgeois live, and that authentic feel is something you can’t manufacture.
The Space Itself
The accommodation captures that refined residential vibe perfectly — think upscale apartment living rather than sterile hotel room. What strikes you immediately is how the space flows naturally, with that promised garden element woven throughout the design. The attention to detail feels personal, like someone actually thought about how you’d want to spend your morning coffee or unwind after exploring the city. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself lingering longer than planned, which honestly is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience a city like a local rather than just tick off tourist boxes.
Getting Around Strasbourg
From here, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Strasbourg without feeling like you’re camping in the tourist district. The tram connections work well when you want to hit the cathedral or wander through Petite France, but you can also discover the less obvious corners of the city that most visitors miss entirely. Recent guests consistently mention the location as a highlight, and after staying here, you understand why — it’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to real Strasbourg life while still having easy access to everything you came to see.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating doesn’t happen by accident, and spending time at Robertsau, jardin en ville makes it clear why people keep raving about this place. Couples particularly seem to connect with the intimate, residential atmosphere — there’s something romantic about having your own peaceful corner of Strasbourg rather than being just another room in a busy hotel district. You know what really seals the deal though? It’s how the place manages to feel both special and completely natural at the same time, like you’ve discovered this perfect little secret that somehow isn’t really a secret at all.

What could be improved: I liked everything.Lovely comfortable apartment – Sarah from United Kingdom – 26 April 2025 (10/10)
I was looking for somewhere comfortable to stay whilst alone on a work trip. This ticked all the boxes: clean, cosy, well fitted out, well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed. Although it was too rainy to use the terrace, I appreciated being able to look out onto greenery. Great communication with the host – thanks Rodica!. Highly recommend.
What could be improved: It is on a main road, so a bit of road noise, but the double glazing was quite effective.Ganz tolle Wohngegend, prima mit dem Bus C6 zu erreichen, nahe dem Centrum. Parkplätze ringsum da.. – Klaus from Germany – 25 April 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: Am Waschbecken im Bad könnte noch eine oder zwei kleine Halterung sein, um sein Handtuch auch passend aufhängen zu können. Aber kein MUSS. Es geht natürlich auch so.
