Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to everything that matters in Strasbourg without breaking a sweat. The cathedral is maybe ten minutes on foot, and you’re surrounded by those Instagram-worthy canals and medieval bridges that make this area so special. Couples absolutely rave about this spot (they rate it 9.8 out of 10), and I get it. There’s something romantic about having morning coffee while watching the Ill River flow past, then strolling through cobblestone streets that have been here for centuries. You know what’s really nice? The tourist crowds thin out in the evenings, so you get this peaceful, almost private feeling in one of France’s most visited neighborhoods.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a luxury property — thoughtfully designed without being stuffy. The beds here have this reputation for being incredibly comfortable, and honestly, they live up to the hype. I’m usually a light sleeper, but something about the quality of the linens and the quiet location just worked. The windows frame views of either the historic streets or the canals, depending on which side you’re on, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in properly.

Breakfast and Dining

The breakfast setup here strikes a nice balance between continental classics and buffet variety. You’ll find proper French pastries alongside international options, and the coffee is actually good — which isn’t always a given at hotel breakfasts. The restaurant takes advantage of local Alsatian ingredients, though you’re also surrounded by some fantastic dining options if you want to explore the neighborhood. I actually enjoyed having breakfast at the hotel and then discovering different spots for dinner each night.

  The room with perfect aircon as soon as I walked in, perfect decor, location of the property and Claire the receptionist was amazing, very enthusiastic and an asset to the hotel, after directions from Tom Tom and iPhone sat nav that I got the address from booking.com took me to a car park on the other side of the canal, tried to pay with card and cash but nothing so tried to pay with apps which one of the three they use allowed me pay, that took 30 minutes to finally pay standing there like a idiot setting the trip off to be a disaster and getting annoyed with the situation, I finally got to the hotel and Claire greeted me and the annoyance disappeared straight away, made the whole trip much much better, she gave me the address on the iPhone maps and got me there straight away 😃, wish I had stayed longer

  What could be improved: Unfortunately, there was a conflict and they double booked guest stays against a private party which took over the hotel, forcing guests to leave including us. It was truly unfortunate not to have the second night.
