You know what caught me off guard about O Sand Stras Studio? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. This little 25-square-meter spot on Rue George Sand is exactly what you want when you’re exploring Strasbourg without breaking the bank. I stumbled across it during my third visit to the city (honestly, I keep coming back), and it’s become my go-to when I don’t need all the fuss of a big hotel.

The location is pretty sweet if you know Strasbourg at all. You’re basically tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. I could walk to Petite France in about fifteen minutes – though let’s be real, you’ll probably get distracted by all the half-timbered houses along the way and take twice as long. The tram’s right there too, which actually matters more than you’d think since Strasbourg’s tram system is legitimately good. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re not dealing with the bar crowds from the city center, but you’re not stuck out in some suburban wasteland either.

The studio itself is… well, it’s small but they’ve made it work. Everything’s there – little kitchenette, decent shower, bed that doesn’t make your back hate you. The windows are bigger than you’d expect, so it doesn’t feel claustrophobic like some of these compact places can. I spent most of my mornings there with coffee from the little market around the corner (there’s this older guy who runs it who always asks about your plans for the day – very Alsatian). Honestly, the 8.8 rating makes sense once you’re there for a day or two. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I find refreshing after staying in places that promise the world and deliver mediocre towels. The check-in was straightforward, parking wasn’t a nightmare if you know where to look, and the whole vibe just felt… authentic, I guess? Like you’re actually staying in Strasbourg instead of some generic hotel bubble that could be anywhere in Europe.

  Todo, apartamento con clase y gusto, muy limpio y con todos los servicios que se necesitan, microondas, secador, plancha del pelo…
  
  What could be improved: Por ponerle un pero, le falta aire acondicionado o ventilador porque cuando fuimos hizo mucho calor y tuvimos que abrir la puerta del balcón y entraron los mosquitos jajajaja

  What could be improved: La salle de bain assez grande, mais pas beaucoup d'endroits pour poser les accessoires et les serviettes.
  Absence de machine a laver alors que présente dans le descriptif de l'appartement, mais à la place un plus grand réfrigérateur très apprécié. Juste corriger l'annonce pour éviter une surprise.
