The name is completely French – Magnifique et grand trois pièces avec une belle terrasse meublée et arborée – which honestly made me nervous about communication, but it turns out to be this gorgeous three-room apartment that’s way more spacious than most Strasbourg accommodations I’ve stayed in.

The location on Allée des Marquises is actually brilliant if you know the area. It’s in this quiet residential pocket where you can hear birds in the morning instead of trams clanging, but you’re still close enough to walk into the city center without breaking a sweat. I mean, you’re maybe fifteen minutes from Petite France on foot, and there’s decent parking nearby – which, let’s be honest, is half the battle in Strasbourg. The building itself has that solid Alsatian feel, none of that flimsy modern stuff, and when you walk into the apartment you immediately get why it’s called “magnifique.” The space actually breathes, with proper rooms instead of those cramped hotel boxes, and the furnished terrace they mention? It’s not just some tiny balcony with two plastic chairs. We’re talking about a proper outdoor space with plants and real furniture where you can actually have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for the neighbors.

What really sold me was how lived-in it felt – I don’t mean worn out, but comfortable in that way where someone clearly cares about the details. The kitchen has everything you’d actually need (proper coffee maker, not some pod machine), there are books scattered around, and the terrace has these mature plants that make it feel like a little garden retreat. Honestly, after spending days walking the cobblestones and climbing cathedral steps, coming back to stretch out on that terrace with a glass of Riesling from the local Monoprix felt perfect. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some glossy five-star palace, but it nails what it sets out to do. Sure, the shower could have slightly better water pressure, and if you’re the type who needs room service and a concierge, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Strasbourg for a few days instead of just passing through, and you appreciate having space to spread out your stuff and maybe cook a simple meal with ingredients from the Saturday market, this place gets it right.

  The property was very nice and modern. All furniture was stylish and functional. Very nice and spacious, lovely balcony and great location.
  
  What could be improved: The parking was a bit of a hassle. It was quite complicated to find the spot, very tight corners for large cars and the elevator wasn’t working from garage to go up. We had to carry all our things outside, walk around the house and enter from the lobby. Going back was even worse since we had to take the garage remote, go outside, open the garage, walk down and then take the key back to the room on 4th floor.

  it is a superb apartment. It is comfortable, quite and offers good comfort. The location is very close to the European Parliament – its ideal for work purposes. The kitchen is very good equipped. There is a Carrefour shop and restaurants close to the apartment building. The communication with the proprietor was very good and quick.
