Look, I’ll be straight with you about L’îlot – this little three-star gem caught me completely off guard. When I first pulled up to 61 Rue du Lazaret, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the exterior – it’s tucked into this quiet residential street in the Neudorf district that most tourists never even see. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I loved it.

The whole “tout confort” thing in the name isn’t just marketing speak – they actually mean it. Walking into my room, I was hit with this immediate sense of… well, coziness I guess? Everything felt thoughtfully put together without being fussy about it. The beds are properly comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and honestly the Wi-Fi was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night – you’re far enough from the tourist chaos around the cathedral but still close enough that you can bike there in maybe fifteen minutes. I mean, the tram line is practically around the corner if you’re not into cycling.

Here’s something I didn’t expect – the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about breakfast spots, instead of pointing me toward some generic hotel restaurant, they sent me to this little bakery three blocks over where locals queue up for their morning coffee. That kind of local insight is worth way more than fancy lobby marble, if you ask me. The check-in was smooth too, none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out your reservation. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but there’s usually something within a block or two – just don’t expect it handed to you on a silver platter. The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night there. It’s not trying to be the Ritz, but for what it is – a solid, comfortable base for exploring Strasbourg without the tourist markup – it really delivers. You’ll sleep well, you won’t feel ripped off, and you might actually discover a side of the city that most visitors miss entirely.

  Very cute apartment! This was very clean on arrival and is a two minute walk from a train station and tram service, very easy to get into the centre!

  It is very nice, clean and cozy appartment with available parking lot in the yard behind the gate. We were 3 friends and during our 3 night stay everything was OK. No noise from neighbours nor from the street. It takes about 30 minutes walk to city center, but nearby is a tram stop.

  Very clean, spacious apartment, good access to public transport, quiet area.
  
  What could be improved: There was no hand soap provided, and although we were asked to wash the dishes when we leave (of course we had no problem with this part) there was also no dish detergent… I tried to contact the property about this, they responded quickly saying they would get back to me, then for the next days no one said anything else…. I would have had no problem with the absence of soap (in the end, the property said they do NOT provide it…) but I would have prefered knowing beforehand, then I would have brought my own. And in terms of dish detergent… I believe that it is a necessity in any property that has a kitchen…
  I also asked about small towels (because we only got large ones) the nigh of arrival, the property responded on the last night that we got one towel per person. I suppose we should be happy we got the big ones and not the small ones, seeing as there was only one per person provided.
  Maybe my requests seem like luxury, but every place I stayed at so far provided these amenities….
  
  In the bathroom the shower curtain seemed stained by the calcarous water, it was not dirty but it gave that impression.
  
  The other thing that was a bit off, but unrelated to the managing of the unit, was the moldy smell… but it was not as disturbing seeing we were not there all day.

  The location of the place is good, close to the tram. The parking is gated and safe.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was visibly dirty. There was dust on the carpet and nightstand as well as hair in the bath.
  There was some noise in the hallway, either from the pipes or internet modem.
  Light in the room died on the second night.

  Ulaşıl araçlarına yakın olması bakımından güzeldi. Merkeze 10-15 dakikada gidilebiliyor. Tesiste neredeyse evde bulunması gereken her şey vardı. Ev sahibinin ilgisi güzeldi.
