Hotel Description
You know what strikes you first about L’Eurosebastopol? It’s got this unassuming presence on Rue de Sébastopol that honestly makes you do a double-take when you realize you’ve found something special. I mean, when you’re walking down this busy street – and it IS busy, especially during the day with all the trams rattling by – the hotel doesn’t scream for attention like some places do. But step inside and there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has that particular European charm where everything feels intentional without being stuffy, you know? And the staff – well, they genuinely seem to know Strasbourg, not just the tourist stuff but the real city.
What really gets me about this place is how it sits right in the sweet spot of Strasbourg’s geography. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the cathedral (and trust me, you’ll hear those bells – not unpleasantly, just… there), but you’re also close enough to the train station that you’re not lugging your suitcase across cobblestones for twenty minutes. The Petite France area? Maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling. I actually discovered some of my favorite little bistros just by wandering the streets around the hotel – there’s this whole network of narrow streets that locals use as shortcuts, and you’ll find yourself stumbling onto them naturally from here. The rooms themselves have that three-star sweet spot thing going on – comfortable beds (seriously, I slept well), decent bathrooms, and windows that actually open, which is something I always appreciate. Some rooms face the street, and yeah, you’ll get some traffic noise, but it’s city noise, not highway noise, if that makes sense.
Here’s the thing though – and this is why I think this place scores so well with people – it just works without any drama. Check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually functioned properly throughout the building, and when I needed restaurant recommendations, the front desk didn’t just hand me a generic tourist brochure. They asked what I was in the mood for and pointed me toward places I’d never have found otherwise. The breakfast isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s solid and gets you started, and there’s always fresh coffee. Honestly, for a three-star in Strasbourg, you’re getting more value than you’d expect – especially considering how expensive some of the hotels near the cathedral can get. If you’re the type who wants to experience Strasbourg rather than just tick boxes on a tourist list, this is your base camp. You’ll end up spending most of your time exploring anyway, and you’ll come back to a place that feels welcoming rather than transactional.

What could be improved: More eating utensils would have been usefulFantastic apartment in great central location. – Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 10 January 2025 (10/10)
We were met by Patrick who was really helpful. The apartment was lovely and warm on a cold and wet day. It's really light and spacious and has everything you would need. The location is great really central with lots of restaurants and shops in your doorstep. There was water and tea supplied which was well received and a folder with loads of info about restaurants etc. It was quiet even though it was very central and the bed was comfy. The sofa bed was made up for my son which he loved. Would recommend.
What could be improved: The tv was a bit tricky to use.Great host and location – Stephanie from New Zealand – 26 December 2024 (9/10)
The host was very helpful and responsive. It was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay, including being able to cook and doing our washing which we valued. It is a perfect location with a mall (including supermarket) across the road, few minute walk to the centre and 15 min walk to train station.
Exceptional – Simon from Australia – 24 December 2024 (10/10)
We were met by Patrick at the property and despite not sharing a language, his enthusiasm for his home town was a wonderful introduction. The property is well located within easy walking distance of both the old town and the train station.

The location of the room was amazing. The host was really helpful. He even had a binder with the best things in town. Everything was wonderful. We will certainly be back.
