This spot is ridiculously well-positioned in Strasbourg‘s old town. You know how some places claim to be “centrally located” but you still need to walk twenty minutes to see anything interesting? Not here. The cathedral is practically your neighbor, and those winding cobblestone streets with half-timbered houses are right outside your door. I actually found myself just wandering around at night because everything’s so beautifully lit up — and felt completely safe doing it. The neighborhood pulses with local energy, from morning markets to evening aperitifs at sidewalk cafés, creating an authentic French experience.

The Apartment Experience

What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchen setup. After days of eating out (which, let’s be honest, gets expensive in France), being able to grab fresh bread from the local boulangerie and make coffee in my own space was perfect. The room felt more like staying in a friend’s place than a hotel — there’s actual living space to spread out, not just a bed crammed next to a tiny desk. The decor strikes that sweet spot between modern comfort and local character. Natural light floods through the windows, and thoughtful touches throughout make extended stays genuinely comfortable and memorable.

Practical Considerations

Now, parking in Strasbourg’s old town is always going to be a challenge — that’s just the reality of staying somewhere this central. But honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car anyway. Everything’s walkable, and the tram system is excellent if you want to venture further out. The property management was actually quite helpful with suggestions about where to leave the car if you’re driving in. Staff members provide detailed local knowledge and respond promptly to any needs, ensuring your stay runs smoothly.

  Everything was great! There are lots of stairs which wasn’t a problem for us.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing! We encountered an issue with the electrics, contacted host and everything was sorted quickly.

  The location was excellent (a short walk to everything we wanted to see). The apartment was very clean and comfortable and just a pleasure to be staying there. The beds were comfortable, there was ample room for our needs, the showers were great and we could login to our Netflix account using the provided Wifi to watch TV and films from home. We used the kitchen to cook dinner also, which we enjoyed.
  
  What could be improved: There were no basic ingredients (like salt and pepper) in the kitchen.
  And there should be a warning for families with young children, or for the elderly, about the stairs. There’s 67 steps, up winding stairwells, to reach the apartment and this could be a real problem for those who are unfit, unwell or elderly. Especially when carrying travel luggage.
  Then inside the apartment, the lack of balustrade at the top of the stairs, near the dining table, could be a hazard for young children.
  For us, this was all okay.

  Location is great, in the city centre, the price is great, especially if you’re with someone else. We were at ground floor, for a night. Room size is ok for 1-2 night stay. Everything clean. I would go there again!

  What could be improved: It’s a very small apartment. When you use pull out bed you have no room for luggage.
  
  Missing hair dryer, especially during winter time after shower can’t walk outside with wet hair, missing iron/steamer for clothes. No hand soap, no shower gel, no shampoos. Only one towel per person for entire stay. No face/hand towels.

  The apartment was cosy, and in a quaint building. The location was fantastic.
  
  What could be improved: There was NOTHING for us to use as basic supplies. Example, NO SOAP ! No tea towels, nor basic kitchen supplies that we expected ( & have had in other places ), like salt, oil, paper towels, washing liquid. The shower, was fine, except that the glass door was inadequate and flooded the bathroom. The toilet room was so tiny, our legs practically touched the door. If you are on the larger size, you may struggle. But, location was gorgeous and for two, it would be great.
