Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Le petit Brooklyn? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this industrial-chic vibe mixed with cozy intimacy that feels like wandering into a perfectly curated Brooklyn loft, except you’re right on the Ill River in Strasbourg. The location on Quai Koch is honestly fantastic if you know the city at all. You’re basically a five-minute walk from Petite France (yeah, the touristy part, but gorgeous especially early morning before the crowds), and you can actually hear the gentle sound of water from some rooms, which I wasn’t expecting.
The 4-star rating feels spot-on – it’s polished without being stuffy. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the staff seemed to actually know Strasbourg beyond the obvious tourist spots. I mean, when I asked about good tarte flambée away from the main squares, they pointed me toward Rue des Tonneliers without hesitation. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance – exposed brick here and there, quality linens that don’t feel hotel-generic, and bathrooms that manage to be both modern and characterful. Some of the corner rooms have these amazing views toward the cathedral spires, though honestly, even the quieter courtyard-facing ones are lovely and definitely better for light sleepers.
What really won me over was how the place handles the balance between being in the heart of things but not overwhelmed by it. Quai Koch gets some foot traffic during the day – it’s part of the scenic walking route along the canals – but evenings are surprisingly peaceful. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you add up all these small things: decent WiFi that actually works, a breakfast that goes beyond the usual hotel continental spread (local jams, proper coffee), and that intangible feeling that someone put thought into the details. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of Strasbourg, but there’s a public garage about two blocks away, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you’ll probably want to walk everywhere anyway. If you’re the type who appreciates a place with personality over cookie-cutter luxury, and you want to feel connected to Strasbourg’s quieter, more authentic rhythms while still being steps from everything worth seeing, this is your spot.
Apartments in Strasbourg provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Alsatian culinary traditions.

the location was great, communication & check-in was easy, looked like on the pictures, was overall clean, perfect for a group of 5/6
What could be improved: was not that clear that there would be only glass doors between the rooms/showersExceptional – Staylo95 from Canada – 11 May 2025 (10/10)

Modern apartment in a great location – exactly as it looks in the listing. Very comfortable and quiet with a great kitchen. Would definitely book again.
What could be improved: We were travelling with teenagers and the lack of doors on the bathrooms was easily dealt with, but I think it's probably a better place for two couples.Excellent location – Karla from United States – 31 December 2024 (10/10)
What could be improved: Couldn’t get coffee maker to work
It was cozy and comfortable and all in all delightful. – Diana from Germany – 9 December 2024 (9/10)
It was warm and cozy and great for two couples with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Easy to find and to get around. Beds were comfortable. Being on the ground floor with no stairs was great.
What could be improved: The coffee machine was out of order but I’m sure that’s easy to fix and there are plenty of great cafes in Strasbourg so we really didn’t need it.Fantastic property in quiet area within walking distance of the old town. – Stephanie from United Kingdom – 2 November 2024 (9/10)
Fantastic property on the edge of central Strasbourg. Old town within walking distance. Easy to access by car and there were free spots in the on-street parking just along from flat for a very reasonable price.
