So, I stumbled across Le Cosy Stras while hunting for a place that wouldn’t break the bank in Strasbourg’s pricey center, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those happy accidents. The studio sits on Rue de l’Argile – which, if you’re not familiar with Strasbourg’s winding streets, is this quiet little residential road that’s actually perfectly positioned. You’re maybe a 12-minute walk from the cathedral (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but you escape all that tourist chaos once you turn onto this street. The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm without being too precious about it, you know what I mean?

What really sold me on this place was walking into the studio after a sweltering July day and feeling that blast of AC – which, let me tell you, is not a given in French accommodations, even in 2024. The space is compact but cleverly laid out, sort of like someone actually thought about how real people move around a room instead of just cramming furniture wherever it fits. The kitchenette is tiny but functional (I managed to make coffee and heat up pastries from the boulangerie around the corner without any drama), and there’s this nice little seating area by the window where you can watch the neighborhood come alive in the mornings. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept through the night, which doesn’t always happen when I travel – though I should mention you’ll hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but nothing crazy.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture: you’re in this sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in an actual Strasbourg neighborhood, not just visiting tourist central. There’s a small grocery store literally two minutes away (the owner speaks perfect English if your French is rusty), and you can walk to Petite France in about fifteen minutes through these lovely back streets that most visitors never see. The tram stop on Rue du Faubourg National is close enough to be useful but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant tram noise. I mean, for a 3-star place with a 7.9 rating, I went in with modest expectations, but it really delivers on being exactly what it promises – cozy, clean, and practical. The owner was responsive when I had questions about check-in, and the whole experience just felt… easy, I guess? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to explore a new city without worrying about where you’re sleeping.

  What could be improved: the lack of clear information re collection of the keys. Despite messaging them communication was not great. Maybe a language barrier. when we arrived the fridge was totally warm, defrosted, water on the floor and orange sludge stuff at the top. we raised this but it took a few days for anyone to reply. Then with a list of silly questions. such a shame as the room and location were great just poor customer service

  The location is perfect. Train station and bus departure points are so close by walking. There are restaurants, markets and shops all under your feet. Cathedral in Strasbourg, Little France etc. every place you can visit is within walking distance. Kleber square is two steps away. The house has everything: washing machine, ironing board, iron, refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle, built-in stove, television. An authentic apartment in a house with typical Alsace architecture. If I come to Strasbourg again, I would definitely choose this house.

  La réactivité et l’écoute de l’équipe Cocoonr lorsqu’il y a un problème.

  What could be improved: Le frigo ne fonctionnait pas en arrivant. Heureusement, l’équipe Cocoonr a très vite commandé un nouveau frigo tout neuf. Normalement, maintenant vous devriez avoir un frigo performant pendant votre séjour 😉
  Pas de volets aux fenêtres. Prévoyez un bandeau pour les yeux si vous souhaitez faire une grasse matinée.
  L’appartement est assez atypique. Si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité, même légers, je vous le déconseille. Il y a beaucoup de marches.

  What could be improved: No me gustó el sofá cama . Los cojines que había eran incómodos para dormir . Deberían poner una cama de matrimonio y sería perfecto . Porque la ubicación está muy bien . Leí comentarios sobre el ruido , pero nosotros no tuvimos problema con eso .
