This four-star property really nails the sleep experience, and after walking around Strasbourg’s cobblestone streets all day, sinking into one of their incredibly comfortable mattresses feels like pure bliss. You’ve got modern amenities and updated bathrooms, but they’ve kept enough character details that you never forget you’re staying somewhere with real history.

What I really appreciated was the parking situation. Finding a spot in central Strasbourg can be a real headache, but they have private parking right at the hotel, which honestly takes so much stress out of arriving with a car. It’s one of those practical touches that makes a bigger difference than you’d expect.

  Great location, a short walk to the center of the old town. Very private with a pleasant courtyard. The breakfast is excellent and the spa is terrific.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Staff is a little aloof. They were very nice, but they do not greet you as you arrive or come and go. That applies to the front desk, the bar, the spa and the breakfast room. You need to approach them to be acknowledged, but once you do, they are pleasant and helpful.

  The staff were great and accommodating (let us check in early). The room was excellent (comfortable bed, plenty of room). The outdoor seating with drinks from the bar was a wonderful way to relax, so I would highly recommend doing that. The cocktails were also quite tasty.
  
  What could be improved: If you are walking from the train station, it is about 15-20 mins walk with luggage. Totally worth it, but be prepared for that.

  What could be improved: Probably mostly my fault, but I didn't know what I was getting with my reservation. Apparently spa time was included for all three of us. But we weren't aware we had to make a reservation and by the time we did, it was too late. Would have loved to have the option to make a reservation for the spa at the front desk when checking in. Again, I probably should have done more research. But a reminder would have been awesome.

  Les Haras is just an amazing hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and beautifully appointed. Breakfast is excellent and the brasserie is fantastic for a drink, lunch or dinner.
