Hôtel Campanile Strasbourg Aéroport Lingolsheim Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Hôtel Campanile Strasbourg Aéroport Lingolsheim, I’ll be honest — it’s not the kind of place that’ll take your breath away from the outside. This three-star property sits in the Parc des Tanneries area, and it has that reliable, no-nonsense vibe that Campanile hotels are known for. What immediately caught my attention, though, was how easy it was to find a parking spot — they’ve got free private parking right there, which is honestly a godsend when you’re dealing with rental cars or just don’t want to stress about where to leave your vehicle.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Lingolsheim — you’re technically outside Strasbourg proper, but it’s actually pretty smart positioning. The airport is super close (hence the name), so if you’re flying in or out, this makes total sense. I mean, you’re not walking to the cathedral from here, but the trade-off is peace and quiet, plus you can easily drive into the city center when you want to explore. The Route de Schirmeck location puts you in a more residential area where locals actually live, which I kind of appreciated.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what I expected from Campanile — clean, functional, and comfortable without any fancy frills. The bed was actually quite good, and I slept well despite being a bit worried about airport noise (which turned out to be a non-issue). You know what I liked? The shower had decent water pressure, and there were enough outlets for all my devices. It’s not Instagram-worthy, but honestly, after a day of walking around Strasbourg’s cobblestone streets, all I wanted was a reliable place to crash.
Breakfast & Practical Touches
The breakfast buffet surprised me in a good way — nothing revolutionary, but they had proper coffee, fresh bread, and enough variety to fuel up for the day. I actually found myself looking forward to it, which says something. The staff was friendly without being overly chatty, and check-in was smooth. They clearly know their audience here — people who want things to work without drama. The whole operation just runs efficiently, which I really appreciated when I was trying to coordinate flights and city visits.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes this place work is that it delivers exactly what it promises — a solid, reliable base near the airport with free parking and decent amenities. Couples seem to particularly appreciate it (the rating reflects this), and I can see why. There’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t oversell itself but just does the basics really well. If you’re planning to explore Strasbourg but want to avoid city center prices and parking headaches, this spot actually makes a lot of sense. It’s not going to be the highlight of your trip, but it won’t be a source of stress either — and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Reviews of Hôtel Campanile Strasbourg Aéroport Lingolsheim
Great room, but breakfast a bit disappointing – Chris from United Kingdom – 13 June 2025 (8/10)
Room comfortable, great bed, great shower, kettle in room, easy parking, and a very good and helpful receptionist
What could be improved: Breakfast was disappointing. We came for breakfast at about 08.00, not many guests there, but the plates for scrambled egg and for bacon were empty, and did not get filled up while we were there. Also the bread was empty. There was fruit and yoghurt and cheese and ham, but it seemed as if nobody was checking what needed to be replaced.
Normally Campanile breakfasts are excellent so this was a little disappointing.I feel myself in the US hotels architecturally. – Tugay from Turkey – 2 January 2025 (7/10)
Clean rooms.
What could be improved: Air conditioner is not enough for cold nights. There is no hair dryer and coffee machine in the room.Clean but expensive – Shiva from Belgium – 20 December 2024 (6/10)
Everything was clean and the hotel was dog friendly.
What could be improved: It would be better if they has also a small fridge and microwave which are more useful than tv for guests. Also the hotel was too expensive relative to services.Very good – Mike from United Kingdom – 17 June 2024 (8/10)
Very friendly, helpful staff, nice room, good shower
What could be improved: No evening meal in the restaurantGood value for money. Best connect is the train – Bepi from Canada – 29 May 2024 (6/10)

What could be improved: NothingLovely place in the city area – Aleksandr from Russia – 11 March 2024 (8/10)
Nice place in the city. Relevant price and services. Breakfast was good. It is fine place. With this price as it is now I am suppose that this is valid maximum of service and all related stuff. Location is a subjective for many person, I am sure that this place is really not so far. Around 10 rather short bus stops from the central bus station – perfect fit if you take bus to another city next day.
What could be improved: As it is now it is fine 🙂Good functional hotel for an overnight stop – Garry from United Kingdom – 20 September 2023 (8/10)
Very clean, not the prettiest of hotels but as an over night stop on route to Italy it was great.
What could be improved: Very difficult to get into the gated area where the hotel is locatedGood stay for a stopover – Anett from Germany – 6 September 2023 (8/10)
Very clean, Good Internet, comfortable bed,
Shopping options nearby, hotel makes an effort to reduce environmental impact
What could be improved: The only way to get to the airport at night is a taxi which costs about 30€Comfortable room – Tonci74 from Italy – 1 September 2023 (7/10)
Hotel in a nice private location with free and safe parking.
Hotel rooms comfortable and clean
Breakfast with many choice of foodVery clean and comfortable tiny room. – Pier from Italy – 17 August 2023 (8/10)
Good position to visit Strasbourg, easy to park. Very clean.
