Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking up to 2 rue Salzmann, I was expecting just another city center apartment rental, but this loft actually feels like someone’s really cool home that they happen to let travelers crash in. The 125 square meters aren’t just thrown together either – there’s this thoughtful flow between spaces that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile.
The location is honestly pretty perfect if you’re trying to do Strasbourg right. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Place Kléber, which means you can grab your morning coffee and croissant without feeling like a tourist trek, and the cathedral is close enough that you’ll hear the bells (in a good way, not an annoying way). What I really appreciated was being on Salzmann – it’s one of those streets that locals actually use, so you get this authentic neighborhood vibe without sacrificing convenience. The tram stops at Homme de Fer are right there too, which is clutch if you want to venture out to Petite France or the European Quarter without dealing with parking headaches.
Inside, the space has this industrial-meets-cozy thing going on that actually works. The ceilings are high enough that it never feels cramped, even when you’ve got luggage exploded everywhere (we’ve all been there). The kitchen is properly equipped – I mean, you could actually cook a real meal here, not just reheat takeout. The bedroom area feels separate enough for privacy but still connected to the main space, which matters when you’re traveling with someone and need a bit of breathing room. Honestly, the Wi-Fi was solid throughout, the shower had proper water pressure, and there were enough outlets in sensible places – those little details that can make or break a stay. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being in the city center, you’ll get some street noise during the day, but it dies down pretty well at night. For a 4-star place with an 8 rating, it delivers on the comfort without trying too hard to be fancy – sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re spending real time in a city rather than just passing through.
Hotels in Strasbourg offer guests the perfect blend of French elegance and Alsatian charm, with many featuring regional wine concierge services and traditional half-timbered architecture to enhance the authentic Franco-German cultural experience.

Christmas in Alsace – Karyn from Australia – 27 December 2024 (9/10)
Great location with plenty of room. Very comfortable for a longer stay. Very much enjoyed the proximity to Christmas markets and food etc..Recommended!
What could be improved: We left early to catch our train and the expectation of having to run the dishwasher and pack away prior to departure meant a very early start. Everywhere else we stayed we just needed to take out the rubbish and put the dishwasher on.Very good – Cyril from United States – 4 August 2022 (9/10)
meeting someone and do a property tour
What could be improved: include a parking in the offerBeautiful apartment in the heart of Strasbourg with everything you can need! – Susan from United States – 6 January 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful apartment in the middle of everything! This was a two bedroom, 2.5 bathroom apartment (two full bathrooms upstairs and one half bath downstairs which is perfect). The apartment is fully stocked and has everything your family could need for a vacation. We especially appreciated the french press for coffee, I wish all apartments had that! There were even little games and toys to keep the kids busy.
What could be improved: Air circulation upstairs was a bit rough and would be great if the TV had a Fire stick or something so we can log into personal streaming services.Great location perfect for our needs and Martin was an excellent host who met us on arrival. – Julian from United Kingdom – 4 October 2024 (10/10)
Lovey open apartment in a great location
What could be improved: One room was two beds pushed together as a double.Exceptional – Debbie from United States – 1 November 2023 (10/10)
Perfect place to stay while visiting my daughter, who was studying abroad. Martin was easy to connect with, and met us there to show us around.
What could be improved: Only thing didn't like was that they was no door to the closing it off from the bedroom.Exceptional – Inna from United States – 2 September 2023 (10/10)
The apartment is located right in the center of the old town. It’s very clean, comfortable and spacious. Martin met us with the keys and provided all the necessary information with some excellent recommendations about local restaurants and cafes. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.
An stylish, excellent, comfortable apartment which was exactly what we wanted for our stay in Strasbourg – Michael from United Kingdom – 28 July 2023 (10/10)
It is a lovely, well-equipped, perfectly located apartment. We were in the middle of the city but in a quiet, private setting.
What could be improved: The only improvement I would suggest is some air conditioning in the bedrooms in particular.Exceptional – Christine from United States – 13 March 2023 (10/10)
We stayed during the Christmas Markets. Everything was within walking distance. We loved the location and staying in the old part of the city.
Didn't sleep 3 nights. – Satyanarayan from India – 18 July 2024 (1/10)
What could be improved: Why the two single bed size was only 30in wide ,couldn't sleep, no windows, no ac.
