* Hammam * Superbe Appartement * Neudorf Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to * Hammam * Superbe Appartement * Neudorf on Avenue de Colmar, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel experience. This four-star property sits in one of Strasbourg‘s most authentic neighborhoods, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. The building has that understated French elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell there’s quality behind the facade. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, you know you’re onto something good.

The Neudorf Advantage

Here’s what most tourists don’t realize about Neudorf — it’s where actual Strasbourgeois live and work. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride from the cathedral and Petite France, but you get to experience the city like a local. There’s a fantastic boulangerie just down the street that opens at 6:30 AM (trust me on this one), and the weekly market on Place du Marché aux Poissons is walking distance. The Avenue de Colmar itself is lined with those classic Alsatian buildings, and you’ll find yourself taking photos of random doorways because everything just looks so authentically French.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment setup here is what really sets this place apart from standard hotel rooms. You get a proper living space with a fully equipped kitchen — and I actually used it, which says something about the quality of the appliances and cookware. The room layout feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat than a hotel. There’s genuine attention to detail in the furnishings, and the hammam feature (hence the name) is this lovely touch that you don’t expect. It’s not huge, but after a day of walking around Strasbourg’s cobblestone streets, it’s exactly what you need.

Practical Perks

Let’s talk about the stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. Parking in Strasbourg can be a nightmare, but they’ve got that sorted for you here. The tram connections are excellent — you can get to the European Parliament, the university area, or the historic center without any hassle. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a main avenue. The windows are properly insulated, which isn’t always a given in older French buildings. Plus, there’s a Monoprix nearby for groceries, and several decent restaurant options within a few blocks if you don’t feel like cooking.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.9 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects what happens when you get the balance right between location, comfort, and authenticity. You’re not paying tourist prices for everything because you’re in a real neighborhood, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The space gives you room to breathe and actually settle in, rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions. Honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you consider extending your stay in Strasbourg, which is probably the best compliment I can give any accommodation.

Clean, well renovated and modern apartment close to tram and with parking places close to apartment. Huge fridge, modern TV and above all excellent Hammam. Just leave your car and in 20-25’ you are in downtown.

What could be improved: Some smell was coming from bathroom and the Woden floor was making some noice while walking which was a bit annoying during night. Coffee cups were missing despite a nespresso machine being present.

What could be improved: I had to contact the owners about the keys. Why didn't they contact me sooner? When you're travelling somewhere, it's reassuring to know in advance how to enter the property. But the information they sent was excellent.
