Hotel Description

Honestly, when I first saw the name “ENA 3 pièces neuf” I thought I was booking some corporate housing near the business school – you know how those French apartment names can be. But this place on Rue Sainte-Marguerite turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks missed.

The location is actually brilliant if you think about it. I mean, you’re literally between Strasbourg’s gorgeous historic center and the main train station – walk ten minutes one way and you’re at the cathedral with all the tourists, walk ten minutes the other way and you’re catching your train to Paris. The street itself is quiet enough that you won’t hear much noise (it’s residential, not one of those busy commercial strips), but busy enough that you’ll find a decent boulangerie just around the corner for morning croissants. Third floor means you get some nice light, and honestly, the climb isn’t bad – though if you’re hauling massive suitcases, well, that’s something to consider.

What really struck me was how genuinely new everything felt. The apartment – because that’s what this really is, a proper three-room setup – has that fresh renovation smell (good fresh, not chemical-y) and all the fixtures actually work properly. You know that moment when you try to adjust the shower and it responds exactly how you’d expect? That. The kitchen area is compact but thoughtfully laid out, perfect if you want to grab some cheese and wine from the Monoprix nearby instead of eating out every meal. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel with marble lobbies and concierge service, but everything it does, it does really well. Clean, comfortable, functional without being sterile.

I stayed there during late spring and the neighborhood came alive in the evenings – locals heading home from work, families out for walks, that nice hum of actual city life without the tourist chaos you get closer to Petite France. The ENA connection makes more sense when you realize how many young professionals live in this area – it’s got that slightly academic, slightly international vibe that Strasbourg does so well. Check-in was smooth (though I had to coordinate timing in advance since it’s not a traditional hotel setup), and having a real key instead of one of those finicky card readers was oddly satisfying. If you’re the type who likes having your own space to spread out, who appreciates being in a real neighborhood rather than a hotel district, and who doesn’t need someone to carry your bags – this hits that sweet spot between authentic local living and tourist convenience.

Reviews

  • Very good – Anne from Germany – 14 June 2025 (8/10)

Lovely apartment. Very comfortable. All amenities available, perfect for family. The couch bed was quite big which was a pleasant surprise. We had a bigger vehicle, so finding parking was the main problem that we faced, but the host was quite helpful and responsive. So plan the parking before arrival. One good thing in Strasbourg is that the parking ticket also covers the tram transport. After parking, you can use the tram to reach the apartment.

  • Exceptional – Busehekimcakir from Netherlands – 29 May 2025 (10/10)

Location is very good, very clean, easy to access, clean, there is everything you need in the house

  • Exceptional – Leah from United States – 10 April 2025 (10/10)

It was very clean! We made use of the washing machine and drying ladder which was very helpful. The manager was easy to communicate with and responsive.

  • Great Location in Starasburg – Ayben from Turkey – 28 January 2025 (10/10)

If you are going to Starazburg for the first time like us, if you are thinking whether to rent a car or walk, think no more!
The property is easily accessible with your suitcases when you get off the intercity train.
You will easily follow the host's instructions for entering the house.
Once you are unpacked, you are ready to explore the city, so close to the historic squares that you will not find it difficult to walk and you will be able to reach the house easily if you need anything.
The house is warm and clean, the owner will answer every message, thank you Patrice.
Also the sheets and towels are white and clean, the pull-out sofa bed is comfortable, do not hesitate.

What could be improved: Details that are not important for us at all, no view but spacious, elevator is very narrow, only one bathroom if you are a large group…Fortunately, we were a group of compatible friends :))))

  • Exceptional – Giedremik from Lithuania – 24 January 2025 (10/10)

Everything was great. The location is close to the center and the station. The apartment is really clean. Equipped with all necessary household appliances – TV, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, etc. We will definitely be back.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Really enjoyed the property and the host was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend – Stephanie from Australia – 18 January 2025 (10/10)

It was well located between the station and old town in a quiet street. Easy access with good lift. Patrice the host was very helpful. The apartment is exactly as it says and the pictures show.

  • comfortable basics to support the exploration of a beautiful city. – Ca from Australia – 31 December 2024 (9/10)

An easy walk into Petite France, good cafes and restaurants hand(must reserve). The dinning table was big enough to accommodate a sit down meal. Access to the property was easy with codes and a reasonable sized lift. good bakeries and supermarkets close.

What could be improved: The sofa bed was not comfortable for our fifth group member, for a whole week, the other beds were excellent.

  • A great place to stay in Strasbourg, a great host, and a great value. – Scott from United States – 23 October 2024 (10/10)

It was a lovely secluded apartment in a very secure building, very close to downtown activities and city sights, but not encumbered by city-center crowds. The host was easily reachable and willing to help. The bedrooms were a wee bit tight, but perfectly delightful to sleep in, as the bed mattresses were wonderful and linens crisp and fine.

  • Lovely apartment, close to the city centre. – Marie from Czech Republic – 2 September 2024 (10/10)

The apartment exceeded our expectations. It is comfortable, modern, spacious and located very close to the city centre. Parking is easy – the underground parking at the Museum of Modern Art is new, clean and safe, not more than 200 meters away.
It is also possible to stop the car in front of the building to load/unload or leave it there for some time. The apartment is on the 3rd floor but there is a lift.
The area around is quiet but safe. Nice restaurants are nearby (e.g., Schnockeloch) and two good bakeries are only five minutes walking distance away.

    What could be improved: N/A.

  • Exceptional – Maria from Australia – 30 March 2024 (10/10)

-The location was fantastic. So close to Petite France, and the main train station and a tram stop just around the corner next to great restaurants.
    – The apartment was outstanding. Clean and spacious. The layout, the amentities, and the ambience were excellent. So relaxing!!

What could be improved: – Only tiny issue was the pillows were too flat.
    – The lift was interesting.
