Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this little studio? The address actually means something here – Avenue du Président Robert Schuman isn’t just some random street name, it’s literally where European politics happens. I mean, you’re practically next door to the European Parliament building, which sounds fancy but honestly just means you’re in this surprisingly quiet government district that most tourists never see.
The space itself is exactly what you’d expect from a well-run 3-star place, nothing flashy but everything works. That 9.3 rating makes sense once you spend a night there – it’s one of those spots where someone clearly sweated the small stuff. The studio layout is actually pretty clever, and I appreciated that the kitchen area had real plates, not just the usual mismatched tourist rental junk. What I didn’t expect was how peaceful it would be at night. You’d think being so close to major institutions would mean traffic and chaos, but the Robertsau area (that’s the neighborhood, by the way) goes dead quiet after office hours. Actually worked in my favor since I could walk to the Parliament tram stop in about five minutes, then you’re connected to the whole city.
Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Strasbourg – you’re sort of between worlds. It’s not the postcard-perfect Petite France area with all the timber houses and tourist crowds, but you’re close enough to get there in 15 minutes on the tram. I actually preferred it this way because you get a glimpse of how the city actually functions, not just the Instagram version. The nearby Parc de l’Orangerie is perfect for morning runs if that’s your thing, and there’s this decent boulangerie on Rue Boecklin where the locals grab their morning coffee – way better than the overpriced stuff near the cathedral. Parking was easier than I expected too, though I’d still recommend the tram for getting around the old town. The host was responsive without being clingy, and check-in was smooth even though I arrived later than planned. Only minor gripe? The shower pressure could be better, but honestly, after walking around Strasbourg all day, I wasn’t too picky. If you want to experience Strasbourg like someone who actually lives here rather than just ticking off tourist boxes, this studio hits that sweet spot.

This place was great. If you're visiting Strasbourg for business or as a vacationer, you just can't beat this apartment! What a find! We'd stayed in 20+ places around Europe on a long trip around the continent before staying here and it was one of the best, and a fantastic value. We really enjoyed the location. You're close to parliament and the other EU buildings, which didn't matter much to us except it meant the that neighborhood was quiet and relaxed. The one day we walked the 20 minutes or so stroll to the tourist center of town, we were so happy to be back in this neighborhood. You walk along the river there and back, past stately mansions and parks. It's just so nice.
The apartment has everything you could possibly want, well stocked with cooking and coffee making equipment, a great shower, and a comfy bed with a quality mattress. The neighbors are friendly, the parking was super easy right in front of the apartment, and free. I wish every place we stayed in was just like this one!
What could be improved: Everything was better than expected!Very neat and clean, convenient and well-appointed, bikes a big bonus. Recommend! – David from Canada – 29 February 2024 (9/10)
Location was perfect since I was working for the Council of Europe and it was right in the area (also EU parliament).
Also an easy 2km from the city centre, a very short bike ride.
Very clean modern studio with a well-appointed kitchen (fridge, cook-top, microwave, Nespresso!), saving money for a longer stay since I could prepare my own meals and coffee.
Comfortable bed, very modern bathroom and shower, desk area for a tidy workspace. USB ports were also useful.
Lots of closet space for clothes and luggage.
What could be improved: Bed had no sheets. Couldn't find any in the cupboards. Were they missing? This was still ok for me since I used the comforters. Just something to note.Flexible, convenient and optimal choice for a short stay in Strasbourg. – Matthieu from Hungary – 18 December 2023 (9/10)
Location, cleanliness, professional service. Nice welcome gift.
What could be improved: Parking was limited, 3,5 hours in a row is allowed during weekdays. I did not like the carpet flooring, but it is a matter of preference.Exceptional – Tatiana from United Kingdom – 7 December 2023 (10/10)
Very quiet modern room just opposite the European council. Super-fast Internet connection.
A perfect place to stay. – Grigory from Russia – 8 September 2023 (10/10)
Everything related to this apartment was a very enjoyable experience. The apartment is equipped with everything necessary, and of many high-quality things. The location is close to Council of Europe and park de l'Orangerie. The owner speaks 3 languages. She gave us some good advice on living in Strasbourg. There was an option to use two bicycles for free. This is also a great thing for traveling in Strasbourg.
Would stay again – Anon from Switzerland – 25 July 2023 (10/10)
The host was very quick to respond to any questions and was helpful. The handover for the keys was at the stated time and there was a good introduction to how things worked etc. Location is very close to bike paths and the Orangerie and there was a lovely path into town. Could park our bikes securely in the garage.
What could be improved: Small comment: The car was OK parked on the street but would have preferred to park in the garage if there had been a possibility. However, it was clear beforehand that only street parking was available so this was not a surprise. (The street parking was free so that was good). An excellent choice, I'd stay here again. – Julie from Australia – 19 July 2023 (10/10)
The apartment is comfortable, clean, roomy and well located. It has everything a traveller may need. I really appreciated the bicycles and a folder with lots of local information.
What could be improved: It was a great apartment.
