Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this little place on Rue de Dannemarie – honestly, the street’s pretty quiet and residential, which actually turned out to be a huge plus. The Cozy Studio Strasbourg is one of those spots that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you’re settled in, you realize the owners really thought about what travelers actually need.
The studio itself is exactly what it says on the tin – cozy, but not cramped-cozy if that makes sense. I mean, you’re not going to be hosting dinner parties, but there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main tourist chaos around the cathedral (which is maybe a 15-minute walk through some really lovely side streets), but you can still grab groceries at the Monoprix that’s just a few blocks over. The kitchenette is actually functional too – I’ve stayed in places where they give you two burners and call it a kitchen, but here you can legitimately cook a proper meal if you want to save some euros.
Getting around is honestly pretty straightforward from here. The tram stop at Baggersee isn’t too far if you’re planning day trips, and if you’re driving, well… parking in Strasbourg is always going to be a bit of an adventure, but the neighborhood streets aren’t terrible during the week. I stayed during late spring and the area was surprisingly green – there are these tree-lined residential blocks that make morning coffee runs feel almost meditative. The 7.4 rating seems about right to me; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works, it’s clean, and the price point makes sense for what you get. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the city rather than lounging around the room.
Hotels in Strasbourg offer guests the perfect blend of French elegance and Alsatian charm, with many featuring regional wine concierge services and traditional half-timbered architecture to enhance the authentic Franco-German cultural experience.

Good but far from main city – Justin from France – 12 February 2025 (8/10)
Cheap
What could be improved: Far from cityVery good – Nikolay from Belgium – 14 November 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: The studio was clean and correct for a short touristic sleep-over, apart from external problem with the parking. We discovered that paid parking was introduced in the area shortly before our arrival. Outside there was no indication of any free hours (in the evening? morning?), only the parking prices (rather high). We had to park the car in the central official parkings, which added to the costs and doomed us to modify the sightseeing. In fact, free street parking (clearly indicated in the description) was the decisive argument for the choice of this studio, as we planned to use tram and walk ((.
Also we did not know that a car vignette is obligatory in Strasbourg (well, we are just occasional foreign tourists…) For visitors like us, it would be useful to have these details in the general description/presentation.Minimalistic, but comfortable – Judit from Belgium – 25 October 2024 (7/10)
The owner was very flexible and I could check-in 2 hours earlier. It was very easy to enter the room with a code.
What could be improved: Bathroom is very tiny and no ventilation.Good location, everything else is subpar at best – Tal from Israel – 18 October 2024 (6/10)
Good location.
What could be improved: No parking (even though it claimed free parking), dishes were dirty, shower is tiny and the curtains were touching you all the time because it’s so small, bathroom floor was getting drenched every shower.Simple but good – Elske from Netherlands – 26 July 2024 (7/10)
20 minute walk from the city center. Good communication with the host!
What could be improved: For one night it’s good, but I wouldn’t stay much longer. Bed was small and quite uncomfortable. Also, due to the high temperate of the room and noises from the street outside we didn’t sleep much.Good – Thuy from Vietnam – 30 June 2024 (7/10)
The hostess is very friendly and enthusiastic with dedicated instructions.
What could be improved: The apartment is a bit stuffy and humid, it would be better if it was more airy.Superb – Mariia from Israel – 16 June 2025 (9/10)
The apartment has everything you need. The location is also convenient, in a quiet and quiet area, there are shops and transport nearby. Excellent internet connection. It's a good option for two people!
Faire value for the money – Adishaq from Belgium – 14 March 2024 (10/10)
Easy to check in. The host answered very fast to my enquiries. Everything that you would need is present for a pleasant trip to Strasbourg. You have clear guidelines on the wall.
What could be improved: French style studio. I didn't meet the host.Exceptional – Brad from Australia – 22 December 2023 (10/10)
5 in walk to tram stops, cozy room with a comfortable bed. Host was lovely and really accomodating when I left something there to send it forward to our next destination.
What could be improved: Shower and toilet only separated by shower curtain and was quite small.Hot, uncomfortable, expensive parking and still a very long walk into the centre. – Jo from United Kingdom – 21 July 2024 (2/10)
The parking was good outside the flat. The communication was good and easy accessible. Good amount of kitchen ware and good coffee machine. Good water pressure in shower. We had a low alcohol beer in the fridge in arrival.
What could be improved: The room was darker than the photos in the advert. The bed creaked every time you moved it was unfortunate there was no fan as advertised as it was 31 degrees outside. (We asked and it had been broken a couple of days before and they couldn’t get a new one in time). This meant the room was so hot and very uncomfortable and meant sleep was very poor. The shutters had to be down (so no air!) due to a street light that was on and shone through the window directly onto the bed. The bathroom was tiny, floor couldn’t be dried much. And the towels were smelly. It was like a student flat. Parking was 5 euros an hour and you have to pay until 7pm just for information.
