Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Strasbourg, and this little studio on Allée Alice Bommer honestly surprised me. You know what struck me first? It’s actually quiet – which is kind of miraculous when you’re this close to everything that matters. The tram stop is literally a two-minute walk, and I mean a lazy two-minute walk where you’re still checking your phone.
The studio itself feels like someone’s actual apartment, not some sterile hotel room. There’s this lived-in coziness that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. The kitchen setup is smart – not huge, but whoever designed it actually cooks, because everything you need is within arm’s reach. I made coffee every morning (decent little machine, by the way) and watched people heading to work from the window. The bed situation is comfortable enough that I kept hitting snooze, which for me is saying something since I’m usually anxious to get out and explore.
Here’s the thing about this location – you’re in this quiet residential pocket, but the tram drops you in Petite France in about eight minutes. I’d grab pastries from the boulangerie on Rue de la Krutenau (just around the corner, honestly) and be at the cathedral before most tourists finished their hotel breakfast. The neighborhood has this authentic Strasbourg feel – you’ll hear more French and Alsatian than English, which I actually loved. There’s a small Monoprix about five minutes away if you need basics, and the evening light on these tree-lined streets is something else.
The host clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they actually answered my random questions about where to find good choucroute, and the WiFi never gave me trouble (crucial for staying connected). Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – street parking requires some patience, but honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car anyway. The tram system makes everything accessible, and walking through the old town beats sitting in traffic.
What really won me over was how this place made Strasbourg feel manageable. You’re not in some tourist bubble, but you’re not struggling to figure out how to get anywhere either. I’d come back to this exact studio – it hit that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just passing through.

A spacious apartment with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. There's a tram nearby that goes to the city center. A coffee machine with coffee is available, as well as space and dishes for preparing breakfast.
Very good – Lou from Germany – 20 January 2025 (8/10)
The host was very nice and accomodating, the flat was practical, clean and had most of the things you need. It is a little far away from the city center (20min with tram) but ok.
Tv was a necessity on that apartment. But (TV) was included in the property description. – Killroy from Canada – 25 July 2025 (6/10)
It’s clean.
What could be improved: Too boring and dark outside.Very good – Laura from Germany – 2 June 2025 (8/10)
– Christopher from New Caledonia – 22 May 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Un petit canapé avec une télé aurait été un plus non négligeableExceptional – Chen from France – 4 May 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Acogedor y agradable – Julio from Spain – 24 April 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: Lejos del centro como para ir andando. – Maxi from Germany – 11 March 2025 (10/10)
