The Room Experience

My room had this interesting mix of château character and modern comfort — think exposed beams paired with updated bathrooms. The windows are generous, and if you’re lucky enough to get one facing the park, you’ll wake up to views of ancient trees rather than traffic. The furnishings feel appropriately castle-like without being over-the-top themed, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for a historic building. Everything works well and feels authentic to the property’s heritage. The décor strikes a nice balance between period charm and contemporary convenience.

Breakfast & Dining

The buffet breakfast happens in what used to be the château’s grand dining room, and it’s actually quite atmospheric with its high ceilings and period details. The spread is solid — fresh pastries, local cheeses, and decent coffee, though don’t expect anything too elaborate. What I appreciated was eating breakfast while looking out at the park grounds. There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, but honestly, being in Strasbourg means you’re spoiled for dining options, and the tram makes it easy to get to the city center for dinner. The breakfast experience captures the château’s historic elegance.

You get to stay in an actual piece of history while still being connected to everything Strasbourg has to offer.
