But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The location is what hooked me initially. Seven minutes from the train station sounds convenient, but what they don’t tell you is that you’re positioned perfectly between the city center and this quieter residential stretch that feels genuinely Strasbourgeois. I mean, you can walk to the old town when you want that postcard experience, but you’re also tucked away from the tourist chaos on Route de Mittelhausbergen – which, by the way, connects you straight to some fantastic local spots that most visitors never find. The morning walks along this route became my favorite part of staying here, especially when you catch the locals heading to work and the bakeries just opening up. There’s this authentic neighborhood rhythm you just don’t get when you’re staying right in the tourist quarter.

What really won me over was how the place felt lived-in but not worn down, if that makes sense. The apartment setup gives you actual space to spread out – something you really appreciate after a few days of sightseeing. The kitchen isn’t just for show either; I actually used it, which is rare for me when traveling. And honestly, after eating my way through Strasbourg’s restaurants (which you absolutely should do), having a quiet space to make coffee in the morning without dealing with hotel breakfast crowds was perfect. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-passing or restrictive timing you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The owners clearly know what they’re doing.

The 8.3 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense either. I stayed during what turned out to be a busy festival weekend, and while the trams were packed and the city center was buzzing, this little pocket stayed peaceful. You get the best of both worlds – quick access when you want to dive into Strasbourg’s energy, but a proper retreat when you need to recharge. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to be within stumbling distance of nightlife, you might find yourself taking a few more trams back at night. But honestly, that short ride gave me time to decompress and actually made me appreciate having a real base rather than just another hotel room. For the price point and the experience, it’s the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation – and coming from someone who usually sticks to hotels, that’s saying something.

  Petit appartement fonctionnel et propre pour 1 à 2 personnes avec cuisine équipée, smart TV et wifi. Boulangeries et Carrefour Express juste à côté, ainsi que le tram pour aller à Strasbourg (à 2 stations de la gare, 4 stations du centre). Grégory etait joignable et réactif avant, pendant et après le séjour, le contact a été très agréable.
  
  What could be improved: Absence d'un rideau obscurcissant de la porte d'entrée pour ne pas se réveiller avec le lever du jour.
  Le lit manque de stabilité lorsqu'on y dort à deux (mais on dort bien qd même :-))

  Manque 1-2 petites choses comme: 1 table de nuit avec lampe, 2 dosettes de café, (brossette pour vaiselle).
  Situation de la chambre donnant sur une coursive de l'immeuble.
