Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Appartement Oslo on Rue d’Oslo, I wasn’t expecting much from the street view. It’s this quiet residential road that most tourists completely miss, tucked away from the main Strasbourg bustle. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why this place works so well.

The building itself has that understated French charm – none of the flashy hotel lobby nonsense, just clean lines and this surprisingly welcoming entrance that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than some cookie-cutter chain. And honestly, that 9.1 rating makes perfect sense once you’re inside. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out (I mean, someone actually considered where you’d want to plug in your phone), and there’s this attention to small details that you don’t usually get at three-star places. The morning light comes in beautifully if you snag one of the street-facing units, and the neighborhood is genuinely quiet – no drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM like you get closer to the cathedral area.

What really sold me on this spot is the location itself. Rue d’Oslo sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Petite France in about fifteen minutes (and it’s actually a lovely walk through some residential streets that feel properly French), but you’re not paying those tourist-zone prices or dealing with crowds outside your door. There’s a decent boulangerie about two blocks down that the locals actually use – always a good sign – and you can catch the tram pretty easily if you want to venture further out. The Parc de l’Orangerie is practically around the corner, which I didn’t realize until my second day there, and it’s perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city feel for a bit. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street (like anywhere in Strasbourg), but the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real advice about where to find spots, not just vague directions. They’re the kind of helpful that feels genuine rather than scripted, if that makes sense. I’d definitely come back here – it’s one of those places that gets the balance right between being comfortable and actually feeling like you’re experiencing the city rather than hiding from it in some sterile hotel bubble.

Reviews

  • Very nice apartment, walking distance to the city center – Sergio from Germany – 23 July 2025 (10/10)

Very nice and well equipped apartment. A lot of space for two persons, looks exactly as in the photos. Easy checkin and checkout, it's a nice walk to the city center. Free parking on the street, or in an internal courtyard. Quiet area close to the university.

  • Pleasant stay in a great location – Eva from United Kingdom – 15 July 2025 (9/10)

Great location, detailed and clear check-in instructions, friendly and helpful host when we run into issues when exiting the car park, it had a washing machine.

What could be improved: The mattress was too soft, but that’s based on personal preference. The shower drain was a bit blocked.

  • Really nice – Janina from Germany – 22 June 2025 (8/10)

Very spacious and clean. Beautifully decorated.

What could be improved: It got really hot inside the apartment. There was a portable fan that didn’t do much for the temperature though. The curtains were see-through and didn’t keep it dark during the early morning; some people don’t mind but I woke up with the first ray of sunlight.

  • Take it ! – Elizaveta from France – 29 April 2025 (10/10)

Perfect appartement ! Clean, with a lot of light, nice deco. But I agree with comments indicatating that it’s comfortable for 2 persons max.

What could be improved: The information about the appartment location can be improved. The appartement is in a house with many entrances, so each entrance is actually a house number. That was confusing

  • Exceptional – Michael from United Kingdom – 22 April 2025 (10/10)

Very well presented and comfortable in a quiet area 15 minutes tram ride from the city.

  • Very good – Paolo from Italy – 31 December 2024 (8/10)

The apartment has all you need for a short as well long stay and it is located in a quiet area.

What could be improved: The owner gave us the check-in instruction just the same day of arrival.

  • Superb – Ron from Italy – 26 October 2024 (9/10)

Please be careful with phone and try to reply quicker.

What could be improved: Everything was great. Thank you

  • Exceptional – Piotr from Poland – 21 October 2024 (10/10)

Spacious, clean, and well-equipped apartment with all the modern amenities and fully functional kitchen. Convenient location in a quiet part of Strassburg, but within a walking distance to the university campus and the city centre. Secure parking, accessible with an automatic gate opener, next to the building. Reliable wifi.

What could be improved: The communication with the owner was OK, but the info on the check-in could have been sent slightly earlier rather in the final hours before the arrival.

  • Exceptional – Viorica from Romania – 3 October 2024 (10/10)

Beautiful, clean apartment, with parking available, close to tram station.

  • Very good – Leonid from Greece – 18 July 2024 (8/10)

Nice and quiet place to stay!

What could be improved: Windows needed cleaning :)) but everything else was good!
