Logis Hôtel Ettenheim Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Logis Hôtel Ettenheim on Place de l’Hôpital, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something good. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Strasbourg, and I mean really in the heart — you’re basically surrounded by everything that makes this city special. The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm without trying too hard, and honestly, the location alone makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice before you even check in.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally steps away from Strasbourg’s historic center, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of being right on the main tourist drag. Place de l’Hôpital is one of those addresses that locals nod approvingly at when you mention it. You can walk to the cathedral in about five minutes, hit up Petite France for those Instagram-worthy shots, or just wander the cobblestone streets without any real plan. Couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.2, and I totally understand why. There’s something romantic about being able to explore the old town on foot, then slip back to your quiet corner when you need a break.
The Room Experience
I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting to sleep as well as I did here. The beds are genuinely comfortable (apparently other guests agree, because this place gets consistently high marks for that), and the room itself strikes that perfect balance between cozy and functional. You know how some hotels either feel cramped or weirdly sterile? This isn’t that. The rooms have character but aren’t cluttered, and the windows actually open — which might sound basic, but you’d be surprised how many places skip that detail. Plus, the soundproofing is solid, which matters when you’re in the city center.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast setup here is actually pretty impressive for a mid-sized hotel. They’ve got the continental basics covered, but what caught my attention was how they handle dietary restrictions — vegetarian, gluten-free options, even breakfast to go if you’re the type who likes to eat while exploring. The buffet doesn’t feel overwhelming, just well-curated. I mean, there’s something to be said for a place that doesn’t try to do everything but does what it offers really well. You can grab your coffee and pastries and feel properly fueled for a day of wandering around Strasbourg’s markets and museums.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.4 rating and that stellar 9.4 location score, this hotel clearly gets the fundamentals right. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town — it’s just focused on giving you a solid base for exploring one of France’s most charming cities. You’re paying for location, comfort, and that intangible feeling of being somewhere authentic rather than touristy. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend or just want to experience Strasbourg without the hassle of staying somewhere remote, Logis Hôtel Ettenheim delivers exactly what you’d hope for.

Clean and quiet hotel. The size of the triple room was perfect for us that travelled with a baby. Location is great to visit the city but outside of the crowds. Breakfast was nice. Good AC in the room, we had a couple of very warm days in Strasbourg.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was exactly as pictured and described. The staff met us and helped us find our rooms and get settled. We were jet lagged and so that was helpful.
What could be improved: We had trouble exiting the area the next morning and didn't really have clear instructions on how to do that. We didn't realize we were inside a complex with exit requirements. It took us about 45 minutes and someone finally took pity on us and let us out.Just steps to the central old town center in a quiet neighborhood. – Hannah from United States – 9 December 2023 (8/10)
Great location but a bit hard to find due to no visible logo name on outside of building. But the staff was wonderful and a nice stay overall.
What could be improved: Shower was a bit awkward and got the entire bathroom wet but what great water pressure.Excellent location, comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood – Sheila from United Kingdom – 24 August 2023 (7/10)
Excellent location, comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood.
What could be improved: They could have at least a fan in the common areas — it was the peak of summer and very uncomfortable to venture outside the bedroom.A lovely quiet hotel in a great spot. You are left to yourselves, which was nice. – Philip from United Kingdom – 16 August 2022 (8/10)
Breakfast was usually great, with some lovely staff. It was only on their day of that it wasn't quite as good, but generally excellent and very friendly service.
