Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Strasbourg, but this apartment on Passage Josette Clotis really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know how sometimes a place looks good online but then you walk in and it’s just… meh? This was the complete opposite. The space actually feels bigger than the photos suggest, and honestly, whoever designed this place gets what travelers want. The air conditioning works perfectly (which, trust me, you’ll appreciate during those muggy Alsatian summers), and there’s this gorgeous terrace where I ended up spending way more time than planned, just watching the neighborhood come alive in the mornings.

The billiard table isn’t just some cheap addition either – it’s a proper table that actually made our evenings so much more fun than scrolling through phones. I mean, when’s the last time you played pool in your hotel room? The whole setup feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s place than a typical rental. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped too; I made breakfast there several times and didn’t find myself missing anything important. What really impressed me was the attention to detail – good lighting everywhere, comfortable furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a budget catalog, and those little touches like proper blackout curtains that actually let you sleep in.

Location-wise, you’re in this quiet residential pocket that feels authentically Strasbourg without being touristy, but you can still walk to the city center in about fifteen minutes (or catch the tram if you’re feeling lazy). The Neudorf area has this laid-back vibe during the day, and there’s a decent bakery just around the corner – the kind of place where locals grab their morning coffee, not somewhere trying to impress visitors. Parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city, which honestly was a relief. I stayed here during both a busy conference week and a quieter weekend, and the noise level was perfectly manageable – you’ll hear some street sounds but nothing that’ll keep you awake. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the building entrance is a bit tricky to spot if you’re arriving after dark, but that’s hardly a dealbreaker. For the quality and space you’re getting, especially with that terrace and the billiard setup, it’s actually excellent value for Strasbourg standards.

  Comfortable apartment adjacent to shopping centre. A bit tricky to find coming through the parking lot but the host kindly found us wondering around the mall. Also provided us promptly with a brand new cot when asked. Very nice.
