Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Appart 3P 57 m2 Le Coeur de la Krutenau,” I thought it sounded like someone’s rental listing got lost in translation. But you know what? That actually sets the tone perfectly because this place feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in some sterile hotel. The 57 square meters gives you real breathing room, which is honestly refreshing after cramming into those shoebox European hotel rooms we’ve all suffered through.

The location on Rue des Balayeurs is where this place really shines – and I mean that in the most un-touristy way possible. Krutenau is this wonderful little neighborhood that locals actually live in, not just somewhere you pass through on your way to the cathedral. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk to Petite France (the Instagram-famous part), but you’ll wake up to the sounds of actual Strasbourg life – market vendors setting up, neighbors heading to work, that sort of thing. There’s this fantastic bakery just around the corner that I stumbled onto purely by accident, and honestly, their pain au chocolat became my daily ritual. The apartment itself feels lived-in but well-maintained – you know, like someone’s grandmother kept house here for decades and actually cared about the details. The kitchen is small but functional (I managed to cook a decent dinner with ingredients from the nearby Monoprix), and the bathroom has one of those European shower situations that takes some getting used to, but the water pressure is surprisingly good.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Krutenau doesn’t have the late-night party crowd that you’ll find closer to the university area, so you can actually sleep with the windows open. The 8.4 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works the way it should. Check-in was straightforward, though definitely coordinate your arrival time because there’s no 24-hour front desk situation happening here. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – the streets are narrow and spots fill up quickly, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like I was actually living in Strasbourg for a few days.

  Dies war eine tolle Wohnung für unseren Aufenthalt. Es ist mehr als 1 km vom Zentrum entfernt, aber leider gibt es keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel, um dorthin zu gelangen. Geräumiges, sauberes Apartment mit kompletter Ausstattung inklusive Küchenutensilien

  Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen und gut ausgestattet. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr nett und unkompliziert und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für 3 Leute sehr gut.
  
  What could be improved: Es gibt kein W-LAN und es ist eine Raucherwohnung. Die Wohnung liegt zur Straße raus und ist sehr hellhörig, durch die Nachbarn und Müllabfuhr.

  Es war sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch Kaffeekapseln waren ausreichend vorhanden und andere Lebensmittel, die wir allerdings nicht gegessen haben. Es ist ruhig und die Lage gut um zu Fuß in die Altstadt zu gelangen. Parken integer ungünstig.
  
  What could be improved: Die Toilettenschüssel wackelte und die Manschette dahinter war undicht, so dass eine große Pfütze entstand wenn man keinen Behälter drunter gestellt hat.
  Des Weiteren ist das Wasser im Badezimmerwaschbecken sehr schlecht abgelaufen.
  Es gab auch keine Gebrauchsanweisung für den Fernseher, so dass man keine Chance auf deutsche Programme hatte und auf französisches Netflix angewiesen war.

  Emplacement facile à pied pour aller dans la ville. Super rapport prestation/prix pour une famille avec 2 enfants. Borne de recharge véhicule électrique en face de la porte. Quartier animé, plein de petits restos, boulangeries etc..

  La ubicación estaba lejos del centro, pero si llevas coche se puede aparcar previo pago hora, a excepción del fin de semana.
  
  What could be improved: El apartamento se encontraba en un segundo piso sin ascensor y las escaleras eran muy estrechas, por lo que subir y bajar las maletas resultaba muy difícil.
  Nos encontramos que el cuarto de baño no estaba limpio, la papelera estaba con basura y sospechamos que no se había limpiado ya que encontramos los grifos con manchas y sucia la mampara del baño.
