Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into the AC Hotel by Marriott on Boulevard de Dresde, I wasn’t expecting much – you know how some Marriott properties can feel pretty cookie-cutter. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe that somehow works perfectly in Strasbourg, and the staff at check-in were genuinely helpful (not just going through the motions like at some chain hotels). What really struck me was how they’ve managed to blend that sleek AC Hotel aesthetic with subtle nods to Alsatian culture – nothing over the top, just thoughtful touches that remind you where you are.
The location is honestly pretty brilliant if you know Strasbourg at all. You’re close enough to the historic center that you can easily walk to Petite France or the cathedral, but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos either. Boulevard de Dresde itself is this nice tree-lined street that feels more residential than commercial, which means it’s actually quiet at night – something I really appreciated after spending days wandering the cobblestone streets. The tram stop is literally around the corner, which makes getting to the European Parliament or even out to the suburbs super easy if you need to. I mean, parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town, but the hotel has its own garage, and while it’s not huge, I never had trouble finding a spot (though I’d probably book ahead during Christmas market season – that’s when this whole city goes absolutely nuts).
What I loved most was how the place feels contemporary without being sterile. The rooms have these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of light, and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many hotels mess this up). The bathrooms are modern with good water pressure – small detail, but it matters when you’ve been walking around all day. The breakfast situation is solid too, though it’s more European continental than American-style if that matters to you. I actually spent quite a bit of time in their lobby bar area working on my laptop, and it never felt awkward or like I was overstaying my welcome. The Wi-Fi is fast, there are plenty of outlets, and the coffee is decent enough that I didn’t feel compelled to hunt down a café every morning. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind or become your new favorite place on earth, but for a four-star hotel in Strasbourg, it delivers exactly what you’d want – comfort, cleanliness, and a location that actually makes sense for exploring the city. The 8.6 rating feels about right to me.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Strasbourg through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich Franco-German heritage.

Lovely hotel, everything is so comfortable and brand new
What could be improved: The location is great for EU parliament but too far if you're planning on touring the city on foot, it is 40 minutes walk. There is a tram however which is very useful to get to the city centre.A wonderful stay in Strasbourg – Elena from France – 14 July 2025 (10/10)
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel during our visit to Strasbourg. The design is modern and elegant, with clean, comfortable rooms that made us feel right at home. The bed was super cozy, and everything was spotless and quiet.
Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The location is ideal – close to public transport and just a short walk to European Parlament.
It was the perfect base for exploring Strasbourg, and we’d happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Really clean and modern
What could be improved: Breakfast restaurant is a little bit crowded.Nice – Roondhe from Italy – 13 July 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Everything was good. Just a little suggestion regarding the complementary water bottles. I would suggest staff should place the complementary water bottle everyday while cleaning as at night if you need water no one will be there to provide it. Otherwise its all good.
This is my second visit but highly recommended – Hussein from United Kingdom – 13 July 2025 (8/10)

Very nice new hotel in the Strasbourg suburb very well connected to the town center. Polite, efficient and helpful staf. Very nice modern room with excellent bathroom. Bottles of water on arrival. Nespresso coffee machine. Plenty of save spaces to park around.
What could be improved: Everything was great. Didn't try breakfast but we thought it was to expensive.
