Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – the 2 pièces moderne et cosy isn’t going to win any design awards, but honestly? That’s kind of what makes it work. It’s tucked away on Rue Pfeffinger in the Meinau district, which I know sounds like you’re staying in the middle of nowhere, but you’re actually only about 15 minutes by tram to the cathedral (and trust me, you want to take the C line rather than walk it). The apartment has that lived-in feeling that a lot of these modern rentals try way too hard to achieve – I mean, the furniture looks like someone actually picked it out instead of ordering everything from the same catalog.
What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still technically in the city. The building itself is nothing fancy – standard French apartment block, you know the type – but the windows are decent and the neighbors seem to keep reasonable hours. The kitchen is small but functional (I managed to make breakfast without wanting to throw anything), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. The bathroom’s modern enough, though the shower pressure is sort of hit-or-miss depending on the time of day. One thing that actually matters – there’s decent WiFi, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings, and the heating works properly, which is more important than you’d think during Strasbourg winters.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: parking can be a bit of a pain around here, but there’s usually street parking if you’re patient, and honestly, you’re better off using the tram system anyway. The Meinau-Rhin stop is about a five-minute walk, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere you need to go. The area has a few decent bakeries (the one on Rue de la Musau is solid for morning pastries), and there’s a Monoprix nearby for groceries, which is handy if you’re planning to cook. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s clean, reasonably priced for Strasbourg, and the host responds quickly when you need something. I’d probably stay here again, especially if I was visiting during Christmas market season when everything closer to the center gets ridiculously expensive and booked solid. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax instead of feeling like you’re camping out in someone’s Instagram fantasy.
Strasbourg hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Petite France district to elegant converted mansions and modern accommodations near the European Parliament.

Everything was great. Very comfortable bed and also the sofa. Really good is possibility to use garden and playground for kids. We feel like at home, so we can highly recommend you to stay here:) Also the public transport to city center is great and quick.
What could be improved: During the night in aparment can be during the summer a liitle bit hot and there is no AC. But it isnt big problem – its just a point.Agréable logement avec beaucoup de charme et de confort – Agnes from France – 6 January 2025 (9/10)

3 Nächte in Straßburg mit Hund – Michaela from Germany – 10 March 2025 (9/10)
