You know what struck me first about this little studio on Grand’Rue? The light – and I mean that quite literally since “lumineux” is right there in the name, but honestly, they weren’t exaggerating. The windows face just right to catch that gorgeous European morning sun without turning the place into a greenhouse by afternoon. It’s one of those charmant spots (see what they did there?) where you actually want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to sightsee.

The location is pretty much perfect if you’re the type who likes to walk everywhere. Grand’Rue is this lovely pedestrian street that feels properly French without being touristy-fake, and you’re maybe three minutes from Place Kléber – which, if you haven’t been to Strasbourg, is basically the heart of everything. I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and grab fresh croissants, then wander over to the cathedral when the morning crowds are still thin. The studio itself has that calm vibe they promise, probably because Grand’Rue isn’t one of those streets where delivery trucks rumble past at 6 AM. Well, it’s pedestrian-only anyway, so that helps.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to make a studio feel spacious rather than cramped – there’s something about the layout that just works. The 4-star rating feels honest; it’s not trying to be a luxury suite, but everything you need is there and done well. You’ve got proper storage (always a win when you’re living out of a suitcase), decent WiFi, and a kitchen setup that’s actually functional if you want to grab ingredients from the Saturday market at Place du Marché aux Poissons. The 8.9 rating makes sense too – I’d probably dock a few points for the stairs if you’re hauling heavy luggage, but that’s pretty much every historic building in this part of Strasbourg. Honestly, the charm factor more than makes up for it, and you’re right in the middle of one of France’s most walkable city centers. Perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Strasbourg rather than just passing through.

  Everything was great! It's a whole apartment, well equipped and in the city center, near all kinds of services, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. There is a supermarket literally next door.

  The location was ideal. There were also several excellent dining options within walking distance.
  Cleanliness was top-notch.
  Comfort-wise, I was really pleased with the experience. The bed was plush and provided excellent support for a great night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked beautifully, keeping the room at a perfect temperature. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere during the day

  Contact with host and check in was easy. The apartment is in an amazing location close to everything including only 800 m from train station. It was so easy to walk everywhere and we didn’t find it noisy at night.The apartment is small and compact, beautifully decorated with a homely feel. Comfortable for 2 people. We would recommend and would stay again if ever back in Strasbourg .
  
  What could be improved: The building is old and the stairwell not particularly clean, however don’t let this put you off as the apartment itself was spotless.

  The apartment was spacious, clean and light n airy with lots of windows. Fully fitted out in kitchen with dining table. comfy bed. Car parking was easy as per instructions, left the car for 3 nights perfectly safe and just a few stops on the tram. The location was the best with La Rue Grand in a hip vibrant and trendy place, with all areas of interest within walking distance. There is also a supermarket next door to purchase breakfast lunch dinner. highly recommend apartment.

  Despite being in the very centre of town it was quiet. There is a wide stone staircase up three floors so it is not suitable for people who are not fit. The benefit comes in having a very light, sunny studio.

  The apartment is great in the heart of Strasbourg near the tram lines A and D and in one of the most tourist roads of Strasbourg with great Cafés, restaurants and all kind of shops and supermarkets. It is near the Cathedral and Petite France. Although the weather in Strasbourg was really cold during our stay the apartment was so warm that made our stay enjoyable. It was clean and cozy decorated. The bed was comfortable! The Nespresso coffee machine was an asset!The owner is very kind and always available to help us in anything we needed during our stay! We stayed on the apartment for seven days and it felt like home! We would definitely stay there again in case we visit Strasbourg again.
  
  What could be improved: The building is quite old as most of the buildings in the centre of Strasbourg and the room is on the third floor without elevator, but the stairs are quite easy to step up and you get used to them after the first day (or two 😉). There is a washing machine in the apartment but it is not very easy to use due to its place. The kitchen is small but you can find your way because it has the basic even for a long stay.
