Perfect Strasbourg Location

The location on Rue des Magasins is honestly brilliant — you’re right in the heart of Strasbourg but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise. I mean, you can walk to the cathedral in about ten minutes, and the Petite France district is just a pleasant stroll away. What I really appreciate is that you’re close to both the touristy spots and the areas where locals actually hang out. The tram stops are nearby too, so getting around the city is effortless.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this clean, contemporary design that felt distinctly French without being overly themed. The bed was genuinely comfortable — you know how hotel beds can be hit or miss — and the bathroom was spacious with a proper shower that had excellent water pressure. What struck me most was the attention to detail: good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you actually need them, and blackout curtains that work. The “Garden” part of the hotel’s name makes sense when you see the courtyard views from some rooms.

Breakfast and Dining

The breakfast spread here is actually impressive — they’ve got the continental basics covered, but there are also American options and proper vegetarian and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The buffet setup flows well, so you’re not bumping into other guests constantly. I particularly liked that they had local Alsatian specialties alongside the standard hotel fare. The restaurant area has a relaxed atmosphere where you can take your time without feeling rushed.

There’s something about this place that just works — maybe it’s the combination of being centrally located without the chaos, or how the staff seems to anticipate what you need. The private parking is a real bonus if you’re driving (which many people don’t think about until they’re circling the block looking for a spot in Strasbourg’s old town). You’re paying for quality without the pretension, and in a city like Strasbourg where location really matters, this hotel delivers on what counts most.

She looks up to me and said something in france and then she did a disgusting face and watching at me and then at her clock and then up to me and then back to the clock. It made me feel very uncomfortable

  What could be improved: You need to prebook parking if you want to be sure to have a spot. There’s additional street parking in the surroundings. Worked too but a bot of a hassle to find a spot at night. Street parking is free until 9 am.
