Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Studios de la Nuée Bleue? The name makes it sound way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. It’s tucked right on Rue du Tribunal, literally steps from the cathedral (you can hear the bells if you’re a light sleeper, fair warning), and honestly feels more like staying in a friend’s well-designed apartment than some stuffy hotel. The studios are exactly that – actual studio spaces with little kitchenettes that actually work, not those sad hotel “kitchenettes” with a broken mini-fridge and no utensils. I grabbed fresh bread and cheese from the market at Place du Marché aux Poissons – maybe a three-minute walk – and had breakfast looking out at the old timber-framed buildings across the street.
The whole place has this understated elegance thing going on… clean lines, decent lighting, floors that don’t creak when you walk around at night. What really sold me was how quiet it gets once you close the windows, which is kind of miraculous considering you’re smack in the middle of Strasbourg’s historic center. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood – not just the tourist spots everyone mentions, but like, which boulangerie opens earliest (it’s the one on Rue des Frères, by the way) and where to grab a decent coffee that won’t cost you fifteen euros. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that drawn-out welcome presentation some places insist on.
I’ll be honest, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities or anything, but that 8.2 rating makes perfect sense when you actually stay there. The value is solid, especially for what you get in this part of the city – I mean, you can walk to Petite France in ten minutes, the European Parliament quarter is right there if that’s your thing, and the tram stops practically outside your door. The studios themselves feel bigger than most Paris hotel rooms (not exactly a high bar, but still), and there’s something satisfying about having your own little space to spread out after spending all day wandering around the cobblestones. Just don’t expect a gym or pool or anything like that – this is more about location and having a genuinely comfortable base while you explore one of France’s most underrated cities.

Cute apartment at a great location – Agnieszka50 from Poland – 22 April 2025 (9/10)
We loved the apartment. Although it was small, we felt comfortable. It was also located in a safe neighbourhood that was only 10 minutes away from the city centre. The host was available and helpful at all times.
What could be improved: The apartment could have had one more knife (a larger one for bread) and a trash bin in the kitchen. Apart from these things, it was great!Superb – Nairana from Italy – 2 April 2025 (9/10)
Our stay was great, perfect for a weekend! Ideal for one or two people. Check in and check out were quick and easy, with clear instructions. The apartment is in a good location, quiet street and you can easily walk around the city. The facility is pretty new, was clean. Just keep in mind that there is no elevator, you have to access it by stairs. I highly recommend it!
Superb – Vaidotas from Lithuania – 28 September 2024 (9/10)
Property is in 3rd flour

Very supporting and professional host.
Comfortable modern little studio – Birgit from Belgium – 19 July 2024 (8/10)
The studio is lovely, modern and clean. It is small, the photos make it look spacier than it is. It is in an old house, from the outside you would not expect to find it there. It is only a small walking distance to the city center and Place de la République.
What could be improved: There is no elevator so you have to climb 4 flights of stairs. The entrance door which you open with your phone is on a small back alley.Perfect location, comfy and modern studio – Ismo from Finland – 12 July 2024 (8/10)
Excellent location, short walking distance to all major attractions. The room/studio was modern and spacious.
What could be improved: Lack of air conditioning was a bit of a negative surprise, especially as the temparature rose over 30 celsius.
Also the mechanism that you had to pay an extra 500 euros deposit was somewhat odd (especially when similar cases are often used as fraud).)Good location but not the most comfortable place we have stayed at – Dominic from United States – 28 December 2024 (7/10)
Need your phone to open entrance gate and to get the code to open a key box. We were so tired after traveling and didn’t think straight- thought the code can just open the door… only it was a code to open the key box to open the door.
What could be improved: Climbing up almost 80 steps to get to the apartment; system / technology in opening doors; lack of tissues and only one small garbage bin in the apartment ;Good – Pier from Italy – 19 June 2025 (7/10)
Very good position. Clean
What could be improved: 4th floor no elevator. Important to know. Room tiny.THE place to stay in Strasbourg – Samuel from Switzerland – 26 December 2023 (10/10)
The studio is perfectly located 2 streets away from the Christmas market in a narrow street of the very center of the city & very quiet.
It’s well renovated, bright and modern. The bed is so comfortable and you have a view of the cathedral from it. You’ll find local infos at the entrance also the owner is responsive. It’s a really nice place to stay I recommend it for couples.
What could be improved: The headboard could be better screwedPassable – Kathryn from Australia – 20 September 2024 (5/10)
The location was excellent & the room was great, clean & tidy
What could be improved: There was an issue getting into the apartment & collecting the keys as I didn't have wifi and information was sent late on how to collect the keys. There is no air conditioning and even though it was not that hot whilst we stayed the room was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep. I would not recommend staying here in summer, even a fan would have helped
