Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “studio hyper centre ville et gare,” I thought it was going to be one of those cramped afterthoughts near a train station. You know what I mean, the kind of place where you hear every rumbling departure at 6 AM. But this little spot on Rue du Feu actually surprised me in the best way.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Strasbourg rather than just visiting it. You’re literally steps from the cathedral – I mean, you can hear the bells without them being obnoxious about it – and Place Kléber is right there when you need that main square energy. What I really loved though was how you can duck into Petite France in about ten minutes on foot, wandering through those narrow cobblestone streets that tourists usually miss because they’re too busy following their GPS to the obvious spots. The train station proximity is actually a huge plus here (contrary to my initial worry) because Strasbourg’s gare is surprisingly civilized, and you’ll want that easy connection if you’re day-tripping to Colmar or even popping over to Germany.
The studio itself has this clean, minimalist thing going on that works really well in the space they’re working with. It’s not huge – let’s be real about that – but whoever designed it actually thought about how people move around and store their stuff. The kitchenette is more functional than you’d expect, which matters because honestly, you’ll want to grab fresh bread from the boulangerie around the corner and make coffee before wandering out to explore. I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram a bunch of unnecessary furniture in there just to fill space. The bathroom is modern and the shower pressure is solid (always a gamble in these older European buildings). One thing worth mentioning – the street can get a bit lively on weekend evenings since you’re right in the heart of things, but it’s more charming local chatter than obnoxious tourist noise. If you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs, but I found it kind of nice actually, like having the city’s pulse right outside your window.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits in that sweet spot between being completely local and totally accessible. You’re not stuck in some sterile hotel district, but you’re also not fumbling around trying to figure out basic neighborhood logistics. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it absolutely delivers on being a smart, well-located base for actually experiencing Strasbourg. Plus, and this is key if you’re planning to explore Alsace, you can walk to car rental spots easily, or just use it as your hub for the excellent tram system that connects pretty much everywhere you’d want to go.
Hotels in Strasbourg offer guests the perfect blend of French elegance and Alsatian charm, with many featuring regional wine concierge services and traditional half-timbered architecture to enhance the authentic Franco-German cultural experience.

Superb – Eric from United Kingdom – 30 March 2025 (9/10)
Good location clear instructions facilities as described comfortable bed.
What could be improved: Bathroom door didn't shut properly. Shower head liable to fall off.A nice and cosy place at an excellent location. – Natalia from Russia – 4 April 2025 (8/10)
The apartment is located near all the strategic places – the train station, the old town, and a big shopping mall are easily reached by foot in approximately 5 minutes. Access to the building is easy, the instructions from the host are quite sufficient. Although the room is rather small, it is well-arranged and well-equipped and has everything necessary even for a long stay, including a washing machine. Although there is a busy street with trams just round the corner, no particular noise bothered us at night. A very good place for such a price.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, we were unable to connect to Wi-Fi, our smartphones did not see the network specified by the host. Perhaps, it was a 5 Hz network not supported by our equipment, which works with 2.5 Hz networks. The apartment is a bit worn out, although it is not a big problem. The bathroom is really tiny, especially the shower cabin, and the shower curtain smells of mold. The same is true of bath towels – they smell of dampness. I would recommend at least replacing the shower curtain to avoid smell (or, perhaps, the shower mat – I didn't specifically look for the source of smell, but it's definitely one of those). But the main problem for us was, of course, the absence of Wi-Fi.Cosy & homely apartment near train station and short walk to town – Angie from United Kingdom – 16 February 2025 (7/10)
Cosy and homely room, cosy bed. Very close to the train station (5 min walk) and a quick walk into the town (5-10 min walk). Simple check in and the owner was very communicative.
What could be improved: The nearby street is busy so there is lot of traffic noise. The shower room is rather small and the shower attachments fell off a couple of times trying to adjust the height – it was nothing drastic and did the job!Lovely place to stay – Hsiju from Netherlands – 13 December 2024 (8/10)
The room is not spacious but super cute. Everything is included. Location is good very near the train station, within 10 mins walk. Comfortable place to stay for few nights!
What could be improved: Checkin instructions were provided beforehand however when we arrived we tried to call landlord but no one answered. In the end a random person open the front door for us and we managed to find our key under carpet. Landlord said sorry to us and gave us a wine as the apologies. Another minor issue is traffic noise at night.Cosy and clean overnight stay – Jennifer from Australia – 8 October 2024 (8/10)
Close to the station. Cosy, comfortable and clean. Kitchen had everything you need.
What could be improved: The phone number didn’t work to open the front door.Strasbourg stay comment – Siew from Malaysia – 3 October 2024 (7/10)
kitchen but the slove is not function
What could be improved: pillows and blankets with sweat smell so time to change a new one. Other than this, everything is very good.Excellent value for money in an extremely convenient location – Tim from United Kingdom – 2 October 2024 (9/10)
I had stayed there a few days previously as it fitted in well with my travel plans. The host was most accommodating and even gifted me a complimentary bottle of wine. I certainly wasn't expecting that but it does show a thoughtful approach towards their clients
Superb – Tim from United Kingdom – 2 October 2024 (9/10)
Location of the apartment is fantastic. Easy walking distance to the train station as well as shopping centre as well as the historic part of the City and river.
Tiny but adequate – D'annie from Germany – 6 April 2024 (8/10)
Very good location (quiet and convenient) tram station is just outside. Close to the main train station and the Cathedral. Apartment is extremely tiny but well equipped. Comfortable bed and super water pressure.
What could be improved: Perhaps a little cram but it didn't really bother us.Exceptional – Nicola from Austria – 13 August 2024 (10/10)
cozy studio with everything you need in perfect location
