Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this little studio on Rue de la Nuée-Bleue? It’s actually designed by someone who gets it. I mean, most budget places in Strasbourg’s center feel like afterthoughts, but this one – well, it’s clearly had some real thought put into maximizing every square meter. The moment you walk in, there’s this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe that makes the space feel way bigger than it probably is. Everything’s there – proper kitchenette with decent appliances, not those sad mini-fridges that barely work, and honestly, the bed situation is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with springs all night.
The location though, that’s where this place really shines. Rue de la Nuée-Bleue is one of those streets that locals actually use – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Place Kléber, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. I could walk to the cathedral in about eight minutes, hit the covered bridges without breaking a sweat, and there’s this fantastic little bakery just around the corner on Rue du 22 Novembre that does these incredible kouglof pastries (trust me on this one). Parking’s the usual Strasbourg nightmare, but honestly, once you’re settled in here, you can walk or tram pretty much everywhere that matters. The tram stop at Homme de Fer is close enough that getting to the European Parliament or even the airport becomes pretty straightforward.
What I really appreciated – and this might sound small but it matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night – is that everything actually works. The shower has proper pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the kitchen setup means you can make real meals instead of surviving on hotel breakfast and expensive restaurant dinners. Sure, it’s not luxury – the 7.9 rating feels about right, maybe even a touch generous – but there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t promise the moon and then delivers exactly what it says it will. The design elements are thoughtful without being showy, and honestly, after spending time in some of Strasbourg’s stuffier traditional hotels, this felt like staying in a friend’s well-organized apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. If you’re looking for concierge service and turndown chocolates, look elsewhere, but if you want a smart, well-located base for exploring Strasbourg without the premium price tag of the historic center’s fancier options, this studio gets the job done quite nicely.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Strasbourg through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich Franco-German heritage.

Reviews
Good price and good location – Jorgelina from Argentina – 27 November 2024 (7/10)
The location and that you have all you need, coffee, toiletry products, also salt and other things that’s are useful for your stay. The heating and the shower were really good.
What could be improved: It is tinny and the entrance of the building doesn’t smell good because of a Japanese’s resto that it is in GF. Another detail is that the toilette didn’t have a door, this is weird.Well equiped budget appartment, close to everything, but far enough away that it wasn’t too noisy. – Gareth from Australia – 13 September 2024 (9/10)
Perfect little apartment from which to base ourselves and explore Strasbourg-Alsace for 5 nights. For the price, it contained everything we needed, including extra cleaning items, and everything was in good working order. The shower was fantastic, and the curtain provided privacy. It was just far enough away from the main tourist streets to be quieter, but still close enough for easy access. The courtyard had an extra security code to access, so it felt safe.
Comfortable, cosy, well-equipped and well-located. – David from Belgium – 10 January 2024 (9/10)
Cosy, comfortable, well-located and with all the amenities and facilities needed, especially for business trips. I stayed several times and might return in a near future.

What could be improved: The place is quite small. Two persons with two suitcases fill all the free space. Bath and WC are separated by a curtain.Great for a short work trip – Gabriele from Belgium – 20 September 2024 (8/10)
Very good location and the bed was very comfortable! The entrance can be a bit shady at night – it's in an inner courtyard that is not very well lit. But overall, the studio was well-equipped and walking distance from the city centre and the Parliament. Would recommend!
What could be improved: The floor wasn't very clean and the studio is quite small.Very good – Euan from Australia – 10 July 2024 (8/10)
