Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Studio côté Parc des Contades? The name actually tells you everything you need to know – this place really is right next to the park, and I mean literally across the street from Parc des Contades. I’d walked past Boulevard Ohmacht dozens of times without really noticing this building, but once you’re inside, it’s got this surprisingly modern studio vibe that feels way more upscale than you’d expect from the outside. The whole setup is pretty clever, honestly – they’ve managed to create these compact but well-designed spaces that don’t feel cramped at all. The 4-star rating isn’t just for show either; there’s attention to detail in the fixtures and finishes that you notice right away.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being on a boulevard. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Place Kléber and all the tourist chaos, but somehow the rooms face the right direction so you don’t get the street noise. The park across the way is perfect for morning coffee – well, if you grab one from the little café on Rue de la Nuée Bleue first, since the hotel doesn’t do breakfast (at least not that I saw). Parking was actually easier than I expected; there’s a public garage just around the corner on Rue du Faubourg de Pierre, and the hotel staff knew exactly where to direct me. Check-in was smooth too, though I arrived during what must have been a quiet period in late September.
Here’s the thing about the location that locals probably already know but visitors might miss – you’re perfectly positioned between the old town and the European Quarter. Sure, everyone talks about staying near the cathedral, but honestly? This spot gives you quick access to both the historic stuff and the more contemporary Strasbourg scene. The tram stop at République is maybe a seven-minute walk, so you can easily get to the European Parliament or back to the Gare Centrale without dealing with parking in the Petite France area (which is a nightmare, trust me). The studio setup works really well if you’re planning to explore during the day and just need a comfortable base – there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. My only minor gripe was that the air circulation could be better; it gets a bit stuffy if you keep the windows closed, but opening them brings in nice air from the park direction. Overall, it’s one of those places that delivers on what it promises without any big surprises, good or bad.

Very good – Duncan from United Kingdom – 7 October 2024 (8/10)
Very convenient location. Excellent value for money.
What could be improved: Smelled a little of damp when I arrived, but no obvious sign of mould. Quite small, but well appointed.Superb – Yana from Poland – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
Very polite host, enough space, and calm area—the whole flat for that price is a good deal. Some extras, like tee or coffee, were a nice gesture, especially after the long journey. A bit low ceiling like 1.8m, as flat is in the basement
A perfect choice for one night stay. – Rytisj from Lithuania – 22 June 2024 (9/10)
Location super. No problem finding, no problem getting the keys. Close to tram, walking distance to European institutions. Quiet. Could not switch on the tv – owner showed up in 15min to solve it.
What could be improved: You would not like it if you have wrong expectations. Yes, the room is quite small, so not fit to spent a lot of time inside – but owners did good job placing plenty of mirrors to give a better impression of space. Yes, the room is in the cellar, so it is a bit moist. But if you expect all this – all is good. Check out is at 10am – was not a problem, but could be for some.Very good – Diane from New Zealand – 20 May 2024 (8/10)
Very close to good transport. Our hosts allowed us to leave our luggage prior to our admission time. They contacted us to check on our welfare. Apart from one problem we had a pleasant stay.
What could be improved: The toilet was very tiny and uncomfortable.Great place to stay – Dewi from Indonesia – 6 January 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: Toilet and bathroom are in the separate roomCosy studio in a wonderful location – Lecris from Australia – 26 September 2023 (9/10)
The studio was in a perfect location with trams and buses to the main train station and the centre of town basically at your doorstep. Communication with Alain was super easy and very helpful.
Tip: if you enjoy fresh food markets, there's one every Tuesday and Saturday at the park in front of the studio.
The studio itself was clean, tidy, comfortable and had all the amenities including a kitchen with everything you would need.
