You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s technically an apartment rental, not a traditional hotel, but honestly that worked out perfectly for my stay in Strasbourg. The Strasbourg hyper centre listing sits right on Rue du Maréchal-Foch, which — if you’ve never been — is this lovely tree-lined street that feels properly European without being touristy. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Place Kléber, but the street itself stays pretty quiet, especially in the evenings.

The 120 square meters thing isn’t just marketing speak either. This is genuinely spacious, with five rooms that actually make sense for families or groups who don’t want to be cramped together. The kitchen was what sold me though — I’m talking full-sized everything, not those tiny European appliances you sometimes get stuck with. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there’s a Monoprix just around the corner on Rue des Grandes Arcades, and honestly, French butter and pastries from the grocery store beat most hotel breakfast buffets anyway. The living area has these big windows that let in tons of light, which was perfect during my February visit when Strasbourg can feel pretty gray.

What I really appreciated was how the owner clearly knows the neighborhood. Check-in was smooth (they actually met me there, which beat fumbling with some complicated lockbox situation), and they had this little notebook with restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me — it’s not luxury, but everything works well and the location is genuinely excellent. You can walk to the cathedral in about eight minutes, catch the tram to European Parliament if that’s your thing, or just wander the Petite France area without dealing with any complicated transportation. Parking was trickier — street parking around there fills up fast, so I ended up using the Austerlitz parking garage, which runs about €15 a day but it’s worth it for the peace of mind. The only minor annoyance was that the WiFi got a bit spotty in the back bedroom, but honestly, if you’re spending that much time online in Strasbourg, you’re probably doing it wrong anyway.

  La casa è molto grande e bella. È comoda e ha tutto quello che serve per stare comodi. Ha un bagno con doppio lavandino e a parte ci sono 2 wc. La posizione molto comoda, con nemmeno 10 minuti a piedi eravamo alla cattedrale. Host molto gentile.
  
  What could be improved: Purtroppo la pulizia lascia molto a desiderare. Bagni e cucina abbiamo dovuto pulirli noi appena arrivati. Dove sono i wc non funzionavano gli areatori.
  Ogni letto era ben fatto con gli asciugamani sopra ma l'odore degli stessi e delle lenzuola non era buono,spero per una questione di umidità.
