You know what’s funny about Stras’ home? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – it really does feel like someone’s welcoming you into their actual house, just happens to be a really nice one on Route d’Oberhausbergen. I mean, this isn’t your typical hotel setup where everything feels sterile and corporate. The whole place has this lived-in warmth that’s honestly pretty rare for a 4-star property.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Strasbourg at all. You’re in this quiet residential stretch that feels properly French – tree-lined streets, that kind of neighborhood where people walk their dogs and chat with neighbors – but you can still get into the city center without any hassle. What I really appreciated was the parking situation (because let’s be honest, that’s always a nightmare in European cities), and the fact that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door. Sometimes you want to experience a place like locals do, you know? The area around Oberhausbergen has this authentic Alsatian vibe that you miss when you’re staying right in the cathedral district with everyone else.

Here’s the thing though – and this might sound weird – but the service feels personal in a way that actually matches that 9.4 rating. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that talk about “personalized service” but this felt different, more like staying with friends who happen to be really good at hospitality. The rooms have character without being fussy about it, and honestly, the attention to detail shows in small ways that you notice throughout your stay rather than all at once during check-in. The breakfast situation was particularly good – I mean, proper local stuff, not the usual international buffet nonsense. You can tell they actually care about representing the region well, which matters when you’re in Alsace where food culture is such a big deal. The whole experience just flows naturally, from the moment you arrive until you’re reluctantly packing up to leave. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why some people keep coming back to the same spot instead of always chasing something new.

  Everything was perfect! A very comfortable accommodation (for big families too). The kitchen was well-equipped. Big rooms and spaces. It was clean and spotless.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit unfortunate we stayed in Stras' home during a heatwave 😅. It became very hot during the night since there was no air-conditioning. A few ventilators would have made it more bearable. Except for this, everything else was perfect!

  The appartment is really more like a house on three floors with a very large living room, four bedrooms, two toilettes, two TVs, plus a garage. The place is nicely decorated and clean. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating.

  The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you need. Very comfortable beds. The coffee machine with good coffee was a great bonus! Thank you! For a large family or a group of friends this is the place to be!

  8kişi kaldığımız evde herşey harikaydı. Temizlik ve olanaklar yeterliydi. Evin konumu sakin ve merkeze yakındı.
  
  What could be improved: Çiftkişilik yatağın olduğu odanın penceresi tam kapanmıyordu sorunluydu ve yatak biraz rahatsızdı. Nevresimler pamuklu olsaydı daha mutlu olurduk. Çok küçük çocuğu olanlar için ev 3 katlı merdivenler biraz huzursuzluk yaratabilir.
