Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – Soh Rent’s studio on Boulevard de Nancy isn’t going to win any design awards, but it absolutely nails what most travelers actually need. The location is honestly brilliant if you’re doing Strasbourg properly. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the main train station, which I know sounds like it could be noisy, but the building sits back enough that you won’t hear the announcements at 6 AM (trust me, I’m a light sleeper).

What I really appreciated was how the owner actually thought about the small stuff. The TV works properly – I mean, sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many rentals have some ancient thing that takes twenty minutes to figure out. The WiFi is solid throughout the studio, even in the bathroom (not that you need to know that, but hey). The kitchenette is compact but functional – you can definitely make coffee and heat up pastries from the bakery around the corner on Rue du Faubourg de Pierre. Speaking of which, that little boulangerie does incredible pain au chocolat, and the woman who runs it will remember your order after two visits.

Here’s the thing about Boulevard de Nancy that locals know but tourists don’t always realize – you’re perfectly positioned between the train station and the city center, but you’re also right where the real neighborhoods start. Walk ten minutes toward Place Kléber and you hit all the tourist spots, but walk ten minutes the other way and you’re in areas where actual Strasbourgeois live and shop. The Monoprix nearby is a godsend for basics, and there’s this little wine shop – Cave de la Krutenau – about eight minutes away where the guy will talk your ear off about Alsatian wines if you let him. The studio itself is exactly what it promises: clean, practical, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The shower pressure is decent (always a gamble with older French buildings), and the heating works well, which matters more than you think during those damp Strasbourg winters. Honestly, at this price point and with this location, you’re getting solid value – it’s not luxury, but it’s genuinely comfortable and the kind of place where you can actually relax after walking around the old town all day.

  The place looked just like the pictures. The linen and room were clean, and the bed was comfortable—especially if you prefer soft mattresses. The location is convenient, close to the train station and several food spots. Be prepared for a bit of a workout, though—the apartment is on the 4th or 5th floor, and there's no elevator.
  
  What could be improved: The shower was smaller than I prefer but manageable. There’s no microwave, and the light switch for the main room is only by the entrance, which can be inconvenient at night. The building itself is old, but the property owner has done a good enough job maintaining the unit.

  Bonjour.
  Il faut impérativement stipuler que l'appartement se trouve au cinquième étage sans ascenseur avec une ascension périlleuse pour ce qui concerne le passage du 4ème au 5ème étage.
  Il faut être plus précis sur la manipulation de la serrure à code : tourner cette serrure à code et pas seulement se contenter du commentaire écrit en caractères minuscules illisibles. Préciser également que la chambre est mansardée, que la fenêtre de toit donne essentiellement sur les voies et un peu sur le clocher de la cathédrale…

  What could be improved: Les 5 étages sans ascenseurs. Les 4 premiers étages sont compliqués, et le dernier étage, le cinquième, n'est accessible que par un escalier vertical type "échelle de meunier" !
  Et aussi le non remise des codes d'accès la veille, ni le jour même, mais seulement sur rappel, à notre arrivée, quand nous étions bloqués devant la porte, le manque d'explication sur le fait qu'il faut tourner la poignée serrure pour débloquer et pas seulement la poignée de la porte !
