Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Séjours & Affaires Strasbourg Kleber? It’s honestly one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and I mean that in the best way possible. Located on Rue Hannong, you’re basically tucked into this perfectly Strasbourg street that feels residential but puts you right in the thick of things. I mean, you can walk to Place Kléber in maybe five minutes, which is clutch because that’s where all the trams converge and the real city energy happens. The building itself has that classic Alsatian charm on the outside, but step inside and it’s clearly been updated with a more modern, apartment-style setup that actually makes sense for longer stays.
Here’s the thing about this place – it’s technically a 3-star, but it functions more like serviced apartments, which honestly works better than a lot of traditional hotels I’ve stayed at in Strasbourg. The rooms have kitchenettes (not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker situation, but actual cooking space), and the staff at reception genuinely seem to know the neighborhood. They pointed me toward this little bakery on Rue des Grandes Arcades that I never would’ve found otherwise. The 7.4 rating feels about right – it’s solid, reliable, maybe not Instagram-perfect but definitely comfortable. I stayed during Christmas market season, which is basically Strasbourg’s Super Bowl, and while the area gets absolutely packed with tourists, Rue Hannong stays relatively quiet. You hear the distant sounds of the markets and maybe some late-night revelers, but nothing that kept me awake.
What I really appreciated was how the place handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, they have decent WiFi throughout (I worked from the room a few days), and the housekeeping team actually respects your space – you know how some places are constantly trying to clean around you? Not here. The location means you can walk to the cathedral, hit up Petite France for photos, or catch a tram to the European Quarter if that’s your thing, all without feeling like you’re staying in a tourist trap. It’s sort of perfect for people who want to experience Strasbourg like they actually live there for a few days, rather than just checking boxes on a sightseeing list. Plus, having that kitchen means you can grab fresh stuff from the markets and actually use it – which, let’s be honest, is half the fun of being in France.

Hard core is good should be an excellent place but staff are incompletant. – Crystal from France – 13 December 2024 (7/10)
The room is very spacious with kitchenette. The location is excellent
What could be improved: Hard core is excellent however, staff is not competant not even apologized for given a room which should be put for maintenance.
It would be a wonderful premises however, lack of maintenance , I was assigned with A room broken mirror n cracked toilet seat which looks like it had been broken for a few months.
I asked for a room change at around 18:00 n was told it was not possible due to full house situation. I'm paying almost double for normal price offered in your site. In a situation like this , have Not even heard a word for ' I'm sorry from The junior staff nor manager who went to to the room with me. Nobody had not put an effort in checking their room planning to see if it is possible. I was picked to stay in this room.Very good – Gina from United States – 8 August 2024 (8/10)
Nice room; very comfortable bed and bedding; stove top, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water maker; close to Petite France; close to the metro rails; restaurants and shops nearby.
What could be improved: Very dusty water heater in the bathroom above the toilet – thick cobwebs hanging from it as well as the ceiling.Nice room for simple and good price business travel – Ileana from France – 20 June 2024 (8/10)
It's simple, clean, well equipped, quiet and very central.
Great stay for a city trip – Werner from Germany – 9 June 2024 (8/10)
Great location, simple but very nice and clean rooms
We made a good choice with this hotel. and can advise it to tourists who want to stay centrally – Iryna from Germany – 24 May 2024 (8/10)
The location is super convenient – in centre of Petite France, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, river, Central Square with Dom. Personell is friendly, supportive. The room had even toaster and coffee maschine, which was not stated in the room description
What could be improved: Please state in the room description that coffee maschine, toaster and hairdryer are availble. That will better orient the tourists and give more value to the hotel.Excellent for the Christmas markets – Sharon from Ireland – 5 December 2023 (8/10)
Location, breakfast facilities, value for money
What could be improved: The shower was difficult to regulateVery practical, clean and comfortable if a bit dated – Christopher from Belgium – 19 October 2023 (6/10)
Great location, extremely friendly accommodating staff, nice sheets and comfortable bed, large room, decent kitchenette facilities, good shower pressure and hot water, easy self check in
What could be improved: It’s a bit dated and everything could do with modernising. The kitchen could be better supplied and also doesn’t have any basics like salt and pepper. The double bed is actually 2 beds pushed together and throughout my stay they moved further and further apart.Strasbourg, central hotel, good facilities. – Mas46 from United Kingdom – 30 September 2023 (8/10)
Good location 15 min walk from the station.
Room good size for 2 adults.
2 singles pushed together. Window opens, small sink, microwave, kettle, coffee machine. Hotplate. You can make a meal. TV only French.
Bathroom with over bath shower. Heated towel rail.
You can only buy breakfast in its cafe. We went out to eat breakfast, plenty of proper boulanger, within 25 yards.
Restaurants and Cinemas all around . Metro, bus, nearby.
You are paying for the location. Its not luxury, more like a 2 star.
What could be improved: 2 electric plugs in the bathroom, loose, with wires showing. Reported it to staff but nothing done about it!!!Good but could be amazing – Natália from Brazil – 27 September 2023 (8/10)
Very central location, side streets full of cafes, bars and restaurants, a carrefour express right on the corner, a very lively and safe area to return late as I was traveling alone with a friend.
– The beds are extremely comfortable, which made our stay worthwhile, as we barely stayed in the room, just to rest at night.
– We used the utensils available to cook small meals, it was convenient.
What could be improved: – Cleaning could be much better as there was a huge stain on the carpet and on the bathroom curtain, not to mention the inside of the toilet bowl which had a crust, completely yellow. It could be easily fixed with baking soda and vinegar.
– Unfortunately, it is worth mentioning that the room becomes quite stuffy during the summer, even with the fan available.Very good – Ancient from United States – 31 August 2023 (8/10)
Quiet, reasonably well equipped cooking facilities, proximity to the center, convenient parking, strong wifi, secure building. The reception was friendly and efficient.
What could be improved: There was nothing outrageous. The window shades/drapes were falling down.
