Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step out of that tiny elevator onto the fourth floor, there’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you – which is honestly surprising given that you’re right in the middle of Strasbourg’s bustling Neudorf district. The SAGLIO sits on Rue Saglio (clever naming, right?), and I mean, the location is just smart. You’ve got the tram literally at your doorstep, which makes getting to the cathedral or Petite France almost stupidly easy, but you’re far enough from the tourist crowds that you can actually think straight.

The spa situation here is legit – not one of those tiny hotel “wellness corners” with a single massage chair. We’re talking about a proper setup where you can genuinely unwind after spending the day walking on those gorgeous but unforgiving cobblestones in the old town. The parking thing is huge too, and I can’t stress this enough if you’re driving in Strasbourg. Finding a spot in this city is like winning a small lottery, so having guaranteed parking (even if it adds to your bill) is worth every euro. The rooms themselves have this modern Alsatian vibe going on – clean lines but with little touches that remind you you’re in France, not some generic business hotel. The windows are actually well-insulated, which matters because Rue Saglio can get a bit busy during morning rush hour with people heading to the tram.

What really sells me on this place is how it feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need, rather than just checking boxes. The fourth-floor location means you get decent views without the street noise, and honestly, there’s something satisfying about being up there looking out over the neighborhood rooftops. The staff knows their stuff too – they’ll tell you which tram gets you to the European Parliament fastest, or where to grab the best bretzel on your way back from exploring. It’s got that 9.3 rating for good reasons that go beyond the obvious amenities. Sure, it’s not cheap, but for Strasbourg – especially when you factor in the parking and spa access – it actually makes sense. Plus, you’re a quick tram ride from everything that matters: the Christmas markets (if you’re here in winter), the covered bridges, even the modern European Quarter if that’s your thing.

Hotels in Strasbourg offer guests the perfect blend of French elegance and Alsatian charm, with many featuring regional wine concierge services and traditional half-timbered architecture to enhance the authentic Franco-German cultural experience.

We loved it because was quiet during the nights. The inside parking lot ,was the factor that help us to choose this apartment. The host was very helpful and easy to be found on telephone

What could be improved: Nothing to mention here..

  • Nice apartment with direct connection to city centre – Filip from Czech Republic – 7 December 2024 (9/10)

We’ve chosen the apartment thanks to its location – 1min to public transport with direct connection to city centre. The apartment was clean and very well prepared. The parking spot was a big plus for us, because we’ve arrived by car and parking on the street is not easy there. We did not use all the services available, but we’ve enjoyed the stay a lot.

  • Very good – Carlo from Belgium – 4 November 2024 (8/10)

    Very nice apartment and location

  • Exceptional – Rodrigo from Brazil – 7 October 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is very well furnished, quiet and clean.
It's very good located, the tram station and a supermarket are only a short walk away.
The owner was friendly and helpful.

What could be improved: The downstairs neighbour can be a little sensitive to noise.

  • A wonderful holiday – Brian from United Kingdom – 9 September 2024 (10/10)

Very well equipped, comfortable and quiet apartment. Very handy for the trams into the heart of amazingly lovely Strasbourg. There are some pleasant quiet local residential roads nearby for evening strolls and also a supermarket within easy walking distance.

  • Exceptional – Yury from Russia – 15 August 2024 (10/10)

Very clean and comfortable apartment, very close to tram station so it is easy to reach city center and beautiful lake for swimming. It's absolutely convenient to stay here during extremely hot weather due to four split air conditioning. The owner approved early check in free of charge.

What could be improved: Coffee maker is very good and modern, but it is complicated to use it and maintain by guests.

  • Excellent – Roxana from Austria – 30 March 2024 (10/10)

Very clean, confortable, well equiped, close to shops and not far from city center.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Great apartment to explore Strasbourg – Bogdan from Netherlands – 26 February 2024 (10/10)

Everything is new and very clean. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, underground parking in the building. Very easy check in and out. 10 min tram ride to city center

What could be improved: Poor sound insulation between the floors and walls, which was surprising for a newly built building

  • Beautiful, new, nice place – Manuela from United States – 26 December 2023 (10/10)

Everything is new, clean and well decorated. Lovely welcoming cookies
