Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Rosy’s Appartement? The name makes it sound like some quaint little B&B, but honestly, this place feels more like staying in a friend’s impossibly stylish apartment right in the heart of Strasbourg. I mean, rue de Bucarest isn’t one of those tourist-trap streets you always hear about – it’s actually tucked into this lovely residential pocket where you’ll hear more French conversations than camera clicks, which is refreshing.

The whole setup is pretty clever, actually. They’ve managed to create that apartment-living vibe without sacrificing the services you’d expect from a proper 4-star place. The rooms have this lived-in elegance – think quality furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog, and kitchenettes that you’ll actually want to use (I picked up some incredible cheese from the morning market at Place du Marché aux Poissons, just a short walk away). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the European Quarter that you could walk to the Parliament building if that’s your thing, but far enough from the Grande Île tourist madness that you can actually sleep without earplugs. The 8.4 rating makes total sense when you experience it – there are these small touches that show someone’s paying attention, like decent water pressure and blackout curtains that actually block light.

Here’s the thing though – and I wish someone had told me this beforehand – parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving. The street parking fills up pretty quickly, especially during the week when all the EU folks are in town. But there’s a public garage about three blocks away that’s not too expensive, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car much anyway. The tram stops at Observatoire aren’t far, and from there you can get anywhere in the city without dealing with the narrow streets around the cathedral. I actually ended up loving the neighborhood more than I expected – there’s this fantastic little bakery on the corner that opens ridiculously early, and the evening light hits the buildings in this golden way that makes you understand why people fall for Alsace. It’s one of those places where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

Reviews

  • Superb – Stefan from Romania – 13 July 2023 (9/10)

Mister Cedric was very amable, he showed us everything we have in the apartment, the parking.
The apartment was clean, open space living and a room for eating. The beds were good, no back pain, good mattress. And the balcony big.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Good – Nur from Turkey – 12 December 2024 (7/10)

Given the affordable price and the convenient access to the city center, this accommodation is a good choice for families.

    – The accommodation is very close to the tram stop, making it easy to reach the city center. It's also a pleasant walk.
    – The kitchen had all the necessary utensils which was convenient for preparing meals during our stay.

What could be improved: However, I wouldn't recommend it for groups of friends, as the toilet and sink are located in separate rooms at opposite ends of the corridor, which can be a bit inconvenient.

    – Despite Booking.com stating that check-in was available until 8:00 PM, the host insisted on leaving by 7:00 PM, which caused some stress and difficulty for us, especially with our luggage.
    – The person who met us to hand over the keys only spoke French, which made communication challenging.
    – The toilet is located in a separate room and there is no sink to wash hands in that room.
    – The bathroom, which has a shower and sink, does not have a toilet.

  • Exceptional – Alina from New Zealand – 16 December 2024 (10/10)

Excellent apartment with plenty of space. Was very nice to be able to use the kitchen, which has everything we needed, and also have our own spaces for bags, etc, in the good-sized bedrooms.
The apartment is in a quiet part of town, but the Tram is a 2-minute walk away, so it is easy to get to the center of town.
Cedric greeted us at the apartment and showed us everything we would need.
There is a Laundry on the corner of the street, a convienient 1 minute walk. There is also a small supermarket, restaurant and bakery very close by, but I recommend using a larger supermarket in town to get all your supplies.
I highly recommend this apartment for visitors.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Perfect for our needs for this visit – Mark from United Kingdom – 6 September 2023 (10/10)

    Clean, secure, staff, parking

What could be improved: Local food shops expensive & small

  • Would come back again. – Brane from Slovenia – 20 February 2023 (10/10)

Nice, warm and spacious apartment in a rezidental area with fully equipped kitchen. We liked quiet neighbourhood, shops that are not too far to get stuff for breakfast, access to garage with a lift and fair connections to the city.

  • Esperanto – Detlef from Germany – 14 May 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Le prix du parking est un peu cher

  • Séjour cosy à Strasbourg – Patrice from France – 1 November 2023 (9/10)

– Shirley from France – 8 October 2023 (8/10)

Appartement fonctionnel et agréable, proche du tram. Cédric est un hôte serviable et disponible.

What could be improved: Surprise de devoir remplir une fiche de police…
Peut être un aspirateur qui aspire !

  • Excellent. – Nicolas from France – 2 August 2023 (9/10)
