First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Riadh on Avenue de Colmar, I’ll be honest — it’s not the flashiest entrance you’ll see in Strasbourg. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to shout about it. This four-star hotel sits quietly in a residential area, and there’s something refreshing about that understated approach. The building has this clean, modern look that feels welcoming without trying too hard.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying on Avenue de Colmar — you’re actually in a really smart spot. Sure, you’re not right in the tourist chaos of Petite France, but that’s kind of the point. I mean, you can still get to the cathedral and all the main sights easily enough, but you get to come back to this quieter neighborhood at the end of the day. The parking situation alone makes this place worth considering — and trust me, if you’ve ever tried to park in central Strasbourg, you’ll understand why that matters so much.

The Room Experience

My room was honestly better than I expected from the photos online. Nothing fancy, but everything worked perfectly — good shower pressure, comfortable bed, decent Wi-Fi. The decor is sort of minimalist-modern, which I actually preferred to some of the overly ornate places I’ve stayed in the region. What really impressed me was how quiet it was at night, despite being on a main avenue. The windows must be pretty well insulated because I barely heard any traffic noise.

Practical Perks

Look, I’m not going to pretend this place has a fancy spa or multiple restaurants — it doesn’t. But what it does have works really well. The staff at reception were genuinely helpful when I needed directions (and spoke excellent English, which was a relief). The free parking is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — I saved probably 20-30 euros a night compared to what I would’ve paid in the city center. There’s also a simple breakfast available, though I ended up exploring the local cafés most mornings instead.

Why Guests Love It

After talking to other guests during my stay, I get why couples rate this place so highly. It’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-located without the tourist hotel atmosphere. You feel more like you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. The value is solid too — you’re getting four-star comfort without the four-star price tag of the more central hotels. If you want to experience Strasbourg like someone who actually lives there, rather than just passing through, Riadh gives you that opportunity. Just don’t expect bells and whistles — expect a good night’s sleep and a smart base for exploring the city.

  Piccolo mini appartamento dotato bagno dalle giuste misure e di cucina con due fuochi , micronde e frigorifero.
  Nel complesso silenzioso e pratico per raggiungere con il tram in 5/10 minuti il centro.
  
  What could be improved: Riscaldamento con stufa, appartamento molto trasandato, necessita di tinteggiatura, e assolutamente il cambio/rinfresco di tutti gli accessori e abbellimenti presenti. Buttare assolutamente la poltrona nera piena di scotch sul bracciolo, buttare le ciabatte usate presenti nel bagno.

  What could be improved: Etwas Schimmel an der Decke über dem Bett, es wurde in der Wohnung geraucht was man sogar am Kissen gerochen hat.
  Durch die Lüftungsanlage kamen Gerüche der Nebenwohnungen und es ist sehr hellhörig

  What could be improved: 1. I booked this place because it had private parking, but there was only public parking on the street. Luckily, it wasn't hard to find a free parking spot on the street.
  2.It's a small studio, so it's more suitable for one person to stay.
  3. This atudio is convenience. But if you are looking for a on vacation or comfort, this is not the place for you.
