You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name sounds fancy and all – Ravissant 3P 90m2 – but honestly, it’s way more relaxed than I expected. I mean, you’re literally on Rue Mélanie, which is this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble across, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The European Parliament is maybe a 12-minute walk away, but you’d never know it from how peaceful it gets here, especially in the evenings when the political crowd clears out.

The apartment itself is actually huge – 90 square meters isn’t just marketing speak, you genuinely have room to spread out. I loved that you could cook breakfast without waking up whoever’s still sleeping (the kitchen’s tucked away nicely), and there’s this little dining nook where I’d sit with coffee and plan out the day. The windows face away from any main roads, so mornings are surprisingly quiet for being this close to the city center. What really sold me though was how easy it made exploring Strasbourg’s old town – you can walk to Petite France in about 20 minutes, or just hop on the tram at Observatoire station, which is basically around the corner.

Actually, let me tell you what nobody mentions in these descriptions: parking. If you’re driving, there’s street parking that doesn’t cost a fortune, and the host actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you the real scoop on where to leave your car overnight. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Strasbourg – older construction but well-maintained, and the entrance feels secure without being intimidating. I stayed here during one of those busy European Parliament weeks, and while the trams were packed during rush hour, the apartment stayed this little oasis of calm. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you realize it’s hitting that sweet spot of feeling local while keeping you connected to everything you actually want to see. Plus – and this might sound weird – but the whole place just smells clean, you know? Not like cleaning products, just… fresh. Sometimes that’s what makes the difference between a good stay and one you’d actually recommend to people.

  Beautiful house, newly renovated so EVERYTHING worked & was like new, but in a lovely, older European home. The owner, Mona & her wonderful family, have a LOT of heart & put a lot of LOVE into this house. It can be seen throughout the house with all her decorations, especially all the variations of unique heart art/designs throughout the house.
  Also, incredible flowers gardens: HUGH roses, peonies, irises and others. A chicken coop with the MOST BEAUTIFUL Irish -red chickens I have EVER scene. WONDERFUL STAY!

  Schönes, idyllisches Haus in ruhiger Lage. Perfekt für einen Besuch, wenn man die Stadt besuchen möchte und dennoch was im Grünen sucht!

  – Ein paar Dinge, die uns in der Küche geholfen hätten: eine Schere, Grundausstattung an Salz/Pfeffer/Öl, ggf. ein Mixer
