Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Petit Paradis Croneuva? The name actually makes sense when you walk through the door. I mean, it really does feel like stumbling onto a little slice of paradise tucked away on this quiet side street in Strasbourg. Rue Neuve isn’t one of those tourist-trampled roads – it’s where locals actually live and work, which honestly makes the whole experience feel more authentic.
The location is sort of perfect if you think about it. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the cathedral (and trust me, you’ll hear those bells – not annoyingly, just pleasantly reminding you where you are), but you escape all that foot traffic chaos the moment you turn onto this street. I stayed here during the Christmas market season – which, let’s be real, is when Strasbourg gets absolutely mobbed – and coming back to Rue Neuve each evening felt like retreating to your own private corner of the city. The staff actually knows the neighborhood rhythms too; they’ll tell you the best times to hit Petite France before the tour groups arrive, or which boulangerie opens earliest if you’re one of those people who needs proper croissants at dawn.
What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that balance between feeling boutique-special and actually functional. The rooms have this warm, almost residential quality – like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment rather than a generic hotel box. Everything works the way it should (the shower pressure is honestly better than my apartment back home), but there are these thoughtful touches that make you notice you’re somewhere designed by people who actually travel themselves. The lighting is warm enough to read by, there are enough outlets in reasonable places, and – this might sound weird – but the curtains actually block out light properly. You don’t realize how rare that is until you’ve stayed in enough hotels where you’re wide awake at 6 AM because of street lamps.
The 4-star rating feels spot-on, not inflated. It’s polished and comfortable without trying to be flashy about it. And that 9.1 rating? I get it completely. This isn’t the kind of place that wows you with marble lobbies or whatever, but it’s the kind of place where everything just… works well together. The neighborhood, the building, the way the staff knows Strasbourg inside and out – it all clicks. Plus, parking in this part of Strasbourg can be a nightmare, but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage that actually make having a car feasible. Small thing, but if you’ve ever circled the cathedral area looking for parking, you’ll appreciate it.
Honestly, if you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re experiencing Strasbourg rather than just visiting it – and you don’t need a pool or a spa or room service at 2 AM – this place makes a lot of sense. It’s become one of those hotels I actually recommend to people, which doesn’t happen that often.
Strasbourg hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Petite France district to elegant converted mansions and modern accommodations near the European Parliament.

Reviews
Highly recommended for long or short stay. Take your smaller car there 🙂 – Wizimirs from Poland – 24 June 2025 (10/10)
The whole ground floor house, fully equipped. Small yard but sufficient to host our car safely behind the gate. Small garden with roses. Reasonably good public transport access. The place is quiet but there is a nursery school next door.
Good communication with host although we didn't meet her personally.
What could be improved: Remaining at the place during the day may be distracted by children's noise. We just went to the town, so it was no problem.Very nice – Cazacu from Romania – 15 June 2025 (10/10)
The propriety was very tidy and clean, it is very close to supermarkets, backeries, restaurants and the tram station.
The hoste give us plenty of useful information. An excellent location for somebody driving, to leave their car and spend time in the city. – Roger from United Kingdom – 6 June 2025 (9/10)
The location is excellent, just a short walk to the tram stop for a direct tram into the city.
Supermarket, butcher, baker and fruit shop at the end of the road.
Everything is provided for two people for a short stay.
Very grateful for the secure parking.
What could be improved: A couple of extra pillows would be a welcome addition.
The shower curtain needs to be replaced with one that gives you enough room to shower in, or even better a screen.Little paradiseoo – Belal from United States – 31 May 2025 (9/10)
Garden and interior design

Value for money – Daniel from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 28 November 2024 (10/10)
The host was very helpful and cooperating regarding my stay, providing me with all the info I needed. The location itself is 2 stops from Central station with tram stop only a minute walk from the apartment. The apartment is equipped with all necessary utilities (kitchen, fridge, microwave, TV) and heating was very good.
Superb – Ran from Israel – 6 October 2024 (9/10)
Seems to be a great choice for long stays.
Roomy and well equipped apartment with parking
What could be improved: Can't be fully utilized in one night stay. You get departure instructions before you arrive or get entrance instructions.
A bit annoying registration form.
Bath tub not working as bath.
WiFi not stable.
Location is not central but near tram lines.Exceptional – Hai from Vietnam – 31 August 2024 (10/10)
The location is fantastic—just two stops away from Strasbourg's main station, with two tram lines making it easily accessible. I particularly loved the nearby shops like Tat supermarket, the boulangerie Olland, and the restaurant L'Abatros – which offers delicious lunch boxes. The people in the area are very friendly.
The property itself is charming, with a large yard adorned with flowers and a vine-covered trellis. It’s a beautiful spot to sit and relax. I stayed with my family, who love to cook, and the kitchen was a highlight for us. It’s well-equipped with three gas stoves, one electric stove, and quite good selection of pans and pots.
The host, Nina, is wonderful—very polite and quick to respond to any questions.
