Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Studio agréable avec balcon” in the name, I was expecting something pretty basic. But this little place on Rue d’Obernai actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, which means you get to feel like you’re living in Strasbourg rather than just visiting it. The studio itself is exactly what you’d want after a long day wandering the Petite France – clean, comfortable, and that balcon? It’s small but perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up.

What really sold me on this place was the location, though not in the way you’d expect. Yeah, it’s close to the train station (about a seven-minute walk, I timed it), but more importantly, you’re right in this sweet spot between the touristy center and where actual Strasbourgeois live their lives. There’s a little bakery two blocks down that does these incredible kouglof – the kind of place where the baker remembers your order after two visits. The street itself is surprisingly quiet for being so central, though you will hear the occasional tram rumbling by, which I actually found kind of charming. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – it’s mostly street parking and you know how that goes in European cities – but honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re settled in.

The studio has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated. Nothing fancy, but everything works, and whoever set it up clearly thought about what travelers actually need. The balcon overlooks the courtyard rather than the street, which means it’s genuinely peaceful out there. I spent way too many evenings just sitting out there with a bottle of Riesling from the Monoprix down the street, planning the next day’s adventures. The 8.2 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Plus, you’re a quick walk to Place Kléber when you want the full Strasbourg experience, but you get to retreat to this quiet little corner when the crowds become too much. I mean, for the price point and the location, it’s honestly hard to beat.

  Good facilities, comfortable bed & good hot water service. Close to tram station and other local sites.
  
  What could be improved: It was inconvenient for us walk to pick up the keys with all our luggage, then walk to the apartment & do the same at checkout…. In the rain, As well as find the recycling rubbish collection point to dispose of bottles etc. Kitchen cupboards chipped but not really a problem.

  The position is perfect, not in the middle of the loud night life, but conveniently close to the city center and little France. In the studio there is anything you may need.

  Position is great, everything is very close. Apartment is well equipped, in the bathroom and the kitchen you'll find everything you need. It's quiet and cozy.

  What could be improved: Seems like apartment need some restoration, especially in bathroom. Furniture is quite old, also would be nice to change dishes in kitchen. And I would say in the room you feel like in cage somehow, ceiling is quite low.

  What could be improved: La televisión no tenia conexión a señal de TV en vivo o, si la tenía, no hubo manera de que funcionara, solo pude ver YouTube. Sería recomendable una pequeña guía que permitiera saber cómo emplearla.
