Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Strasbourg apartments, and MAY LOVERS honestly surprised me in the best way. The name made me chuckle at first – I mean, it’s definitely memorable – but once you get past that, you’re looking at this genuinely cozy spot on Rue du Mai that feels like someone’s stylish friend let you crash at their place for the weekend.

The location is actually perfect if you know Strasbourg at all. You’re tucked away on this quiet residential street, but here’s the thing – you can walk to Place Kléber in about twelve minutes, maybe fifteen if you’re taking your time and window shopping along the way. The Petite France area with all those Instagram-worthy canals? Even closer. What I really loved though was having that private terrace – and I’m talking about a proper outdoor space, not some tiny balcony where you can barely fit a chair. In the evenings, you can sit out there with a bottle of Alsatian wine (there’s a Monoprix just around the corner if you need supplies) and actually hear yourself think. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after dark, which was perfect for me, but if you’re looking for nightlife right outside your door, you’ll want to wander toward the cathedral area.

The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that you don’t get with sterile hotel rooms. The kitchen is small but functional – I made coffee every morning and even managed a simple dinner one night. Honestly, the whole setup feels more like staying with a local friend than booking accommodation. The Wi-Fi worked great, which matters if you’re trying to get any work done, and the shower had proper water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in European apartments). My only minor complaint? The stairs up to the place are a bit steep, so if you’re hauling heavy luggage, just mentally prepare yourself. But once you’re settled in, especially out on that terrace watching the neighbors go about their evening routines, it feels pretty special. For a 3-star place with an 8.4 rating, it’s definitely punching above its weight – you’re getting that authentic Strasbourg experience without the tourist trap pricing of the hotels right in the historic center.

  Very clean and many appliances available (iron, microwave, stove, TV, …). It is in a very nice location and it is a very cozy accommodation. The owners were very nice.

  Joli appartement spacieux et propre, pas très loin du centre-ville. Les hôtes sont gentils, je recommande pour profiter de la ville Strasbourg !

  L'appartement est dans un quartier résidentiel calme et agréable.
  C'est spacieux, la cuisine est bien équipée et chaque fenêtre dispose de volets.
  Il y a un tram à 5-10' de marche.
  Malgré que c'est au rez de chaussée l'appartement est plutôt lumineux.
  
  What could be improved: À l'arrivée une odeur se dégageait du WC mais cela s'est dissipée en tirant la chasse
  Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de meilleures boulangeries à proximité, mais là on n'y peut rien.

  Logement spacieux et agréable. La terrasse est indépendante, à l'arrière du logement et sans vis-à-vis.
  Proche du centre ville et d'un parking gratuit ce qui est rare à Strasbourg.

  Les hôtes sont très arrangeants et accueillants, l'appartement est fidèle à la description et aux photos. L'emplacement est top, dans une rue très calme, tout en étant à deux pas de l'hyper centre.
  
  What could be improved: La literie est globalement bonne pour un court séjour, je recommanderais simplement de remplacer les oreillers et de mettre une couette 2 places à disposition pour le clic clac du salon. Sinon le reste est agréable, il y a des serviettes et torchons à disposition, ainsi que le nécessaire de base (savons dans la salle de bain et condiments basiques dans la cuisine).
